Travel the twisting mountain road or hike the rugged trail to the top, either way you will be astounded at the beauty of mountain laurel in June and the spectacular colors of foliage in the fall.

We have done this one quit a few times with the kids, the tower offers a real good view at the top

Quick hike to great views

Beautiful 360 degree view of surrounding mountains from the tower. Short, semi steep hike

For a more substantial hike, park at the bottom and walk up the road. Then go onto a trail thats about 1/2 mile and fairly steep, which takes you to the tower. Round trip that actually made it a 2.7 mile walk total. The view at the top of the tower is incredible. The elevation is actually 1,719 ft including the height of the tower.

Completed this nice easy hike in the first week of October. Foliage wasn't quite peak but the view was beautiful from the tower. Great spot for a family hike

Easy trail. About 1/4 of it is quite a steep incline. Kids did it with me though and they loved it. Beautiful views from the tower.
