Awesome trail system. Lots of single track that quick and flowy. Some pretty good climbs and small sections where it gets technical and more challenging. Only down side is that the bugs do get annoying after a while.

Bugs, poorly marked, runs in the rear of many properties. I didn't finish because part of the trail even goes across/between people's lawns before getting to the lookout.

Nice easy trail, pretty buggy. Had a nice hike today but about a mile in on the orange trail there was a giant black bear sitting in a tree

Fun; easy to walk , a little tricky to follow. Bugs!!!

Orange follows the road for a bit, otherwise a good trail.

Big fun old school Suprising how much there is to ride considering location Rocky riidges at peak. Nice views of valley and river. Kudos to whomever maintains. Beware of indigenous ghosts.

Nice, pretty, flat trail, not a lot in terms of views but nice terrain. This time of year, microspikes come in very handy in most areas. Best for mountain biking or train running rather than climbs. There’s a little hidden mailbox on a side trail with some lovely notes.

trail running

Spent most of my run going on unmarked trails until I reached the Metacomet. Few trails named as mountain biking tracks that led back to the main parking lot.

Easy to find. Very wooded which meant a lot of ticks so do a good check on your way out. We wanted to spend more time by the Farmington River but trail disappears and have to walk along the road without sidewalk. Seemed great for bikes with up and downs not great for scenery.

Took the dogs here for a walk here so I could visit Cowles Park for the first time as I was interested in bike trails as well. The trails were decently wide and it was very well maintained. We only walked the yellow loop but other sections look great too. I will be coming back to see the rest with my bike.

Walked it today.Kind of muddy but not difficult .Took about an hour .Part of the walk is on the road along the Farmington river .Coming out to the road on the west side of the loop was clearly marked with an orange arrow sign indicating to turn left and walk the road but was not marked at all at the re entry point just before the overpass where the trail will climb steeply .You need to pay attention to see it.
