Gotta say, I read the reviews about the bugs and thought we were well prepared. The only parts of me not coated in bug spray or clothing were my actual eyeballs and deep inside my ears. I had bugs swarming both. My son was miserable (also covered and bug spray) within 5 minutes. Even my dog was whimpering and scratched his face to the point of bleeding trying to get the bugs out of his eyes. Beautiful trails, but the actual experience was far from a relaxing hike. Maybe a different time of year would be better, but early August is NOT the time to enjoy this trail.

Great little hike. Peaceful with lovely views of the babbling brook

We love this trail. It’s really beautiful with lots of streams and small water falls. All the trails are very clearly marked and there are so many different ways to go. It’s as buggy as everyone says it is but it’s not unbearable and a little bug spray will do the trick.

I walk my dog there almost every day.
Bugs in the summer!! Plan for it.

Walked on a Sunday morning woth my boxer! Saw only a couple quiet people. Very well marked, there’s a river with mini waterfall to check out. Muddy in patches wear boots. Parking on east side of road across from trail entrance

Great winter hike. There is a very short spur (white) by the road at the beginning of the orange trail. Worth taking a peek.

Nice area with many trail maps. Bring bug spray!

Great woodlands with beautiful water features. Multiple "track" for different length of trails. A few challenging uphill treks but nothing to worry over. Bug spray a must and a hat.
