Wonderful trail. And so fun to bring the kids. The last storm knocked down a huge tree that we had to navigate under, over and through. But overall great experience.

Nice trail. I'd call it moderate rather than easy, changing inclinations and rocky, but it's short so that eases its level of difficulty. many off trail options, first timers keep your eyes open because the trail is not well marked at the tristate point and has several cleared path options. I ended up a quarter mile deep in RI my first time because I was unsure of the correct path to make the loop.

Aldens Crossing to Rt 66 (end of passable trail); reverse to Forest St and return to Aldens Crossing. Temp in low 60s. Overcast but not humid.

Great place for walking or biking not much of hiking since it's just miles and miles of the same path.

Nice little hike.

Well marked. Tri State marker about halfway through. Also bi State marker at beginning. Use map or you could get off on another trail that connects at beginning. Two geocaches on the trail. Great trail to reach tri State marker. Great state park as well. Went in winter and was still well maintained and good parking.

really beautiful when you get to the river but trail isn't marked and has many converging trails so it's easy to get lost. you will need to use this app or be good at using maps/compasses for this trail

This is a wonderful spot to get in your long distance run. I’ve been a number of times and I am never disappointed. I have yet to run the entire out and back but have completed about 30 miles of it. It is a packed dirt/gravel trail that slopes very casually making the elevation gain go unnoticed. In the winter I’ve seen folks out there with cross country skies and snow shoes. This trail is good for everyone and anything. Happy trails- Ultra Ryan

This hike is not easy. The walk to the marker is sometimes steep and very rocky. We went after some heavy rain, and parts of the trail were small ponds. Beautiful hike, but should be rated moderate in difficulty.

Nice walk. The tree marks were not the easiest to find. When we made it to the tri State marker it was hard to find the blue marker from our trail. All in all it was a nice walk.

Great easy hike. Starts along the Air Line trail right off East Thompson rd. Little less than a mile up trail on left is a sign for the TSM trail loop. Not marked but well worn and an easy follow up a moderate trail to the TSM. Here you are at intersection of 3 states. Quick loop trail back to Air Line trail. Good amount of geocaches in the area and lots to check out along the trails.

Great trail, very easy walking, not a lot of people on this trail. Fairly secluded

I love this trail. I start from the Day Pond State Park parking lot, and usually take the blue-blazed trail. When it comes to the first big wide opening into the woods, I head straight, and do not immediately follow the blue trail signs. This leads up a few uphills to get your heart going...then it flattens out for most of the rest. There's a nice waterfall, and a few man-made bridges along the way. Trail markings are a bit difficult to spot now and then, but just go back to the most recent one and look around - eventually you'll see it.

Great beautiful scenery.

i use the East Hampton trail head for this trail. love the river for sceanery (lower trail) bit buggy though. i suppose the water is to thank for that. the actual Airline trail (upper trail) is pretty straight and not much to look at in the area i was in. just lots of woods. there are Munzee tags to find also if thats your thing. i remember jumping off the viaduct in this area when i was in high school. good times. enjoy.

5 miles! It keeps going and going all the way to Willimantic. It's actually more like 20! Then you have to turn around and go back. We actually did a total of 28 miles with a 9 year old and 14 years old and they did it. It was absolutely beautiful and I recommend to all families. Just keep track of the mile markers.

This trail isn't great for hiking. It's a wonderful setting for running and biking but if you are looking for a good hike- look elsewhere. Ill come here anyway for a nice walk with friends in the summer! It's also close to some great places to swim in the hot summer months.

What a great resource for everyone - this rail trail actually starts in East Hampton and goes through colchester, Hebron, Lebanon and keeps going. Very level grade so it is great hiking , biking and x country skiing for all ages. Great views from the Lyman viaduct in the spring and fall. Lots of rivers and streams and marshes along the way. You can get off the trail at the Salmon River and fly fish. Get your bike out and enjoy the ride!
