This trail was so much fun on 09/17/18.
I think what made it so much fun was because I got lost on this mountain so many times . I didn't even mean to do this trail but somehow got on it. Get lost up there and have fun.

Easy drive and beautiful views. I haven't seen any reviews mentioning the NARROW ROAD. So be aware the road is very narrow in some areas with room for only one vehicle at a time and not a lot of space to pull off. Because we were unaware of the narrowness of it we drove up in our Raptor which is WIDE. Not very many courteous people drive through there and most don't have road etiquette and didn't even attempt to make room even though WE were on the cliff side. Other than that the ride was beautiful and we saw the beautiful Fall Aspens.

I usually drive this road several times a year, but Autumn eye-candy is always the best. Heads-up folks - the conditions in the high country are soo dry that with everyone on the road, kicking up dust, visibility was extremely poor. There were many sections were I couldn't even take a pic because of how thick the dust was. My advice, go really early in the morning. Even later in the evening is busy.

Great views of Breck. Aspen Trees and starting to turn gold. Directions on how to get to the trail head are not so good.

One of the best 'Colorado Gold' Autumn spectator roads to travel. Great old mining dredges too.

Does not allow ATVs on the trail because it’s still classified as a county road. All trails needs to better distinguish between OHV allowed and HV.

This was a beautiful drive. I would highly recommend it to anyone who new to off road driving. It is very easy, but still beautiful and fun. The Como side was rough, but manageable. I started from the Breckenridge side and though the town was crowded the road really wasn't. Clearly tourists don't know about the road or get nervous in their rental cars.
I will be going back in the fall. Maybe to camp a bit and see the colors. I am sure there will be more people on it then.

This is a beautiful, relaxing drive. We started in Como and ended in Breck. Lots of places to stop, park, and take pictures or hike on side trails. Trail is full of aspens, this would be a perfect fall drive once they start changing colors. 2WD cars shouldn’t have any troubles here, there were only a few spots with easily navigable potholes. This is a nice alternative to traversing I-70 up to Breck.

Very fun trail with a few challenges to make it exciting. There are a few big rocks to go over or squeeze by. We scraped once. Very narrow with lots of tree branches in places if you’re worried about scratches. We were on the trail for a couple hours before it started to get dark and we turned around. There’s a point when you get out of the creek and into more open areas with views. Looks like it would be a great place to have lunch or camp(if allowed).

Be careful of the soft shoulder in a few places where the water is running parallel to the trail. It is covered by vegetation and there is a big rock on trail that you have go around.

We are new hikers and found the trail a great first 14.

This is a must do drive every visit we make to the area. Have made the drive fifteen or more times...it never gets old. It’s fun to park at various points along the way and hike a little.

Very nice trail.

Easy drive with great views. Lots of pull outs for stops, passing, and pictures. July you will see campers, bikers, and hikes. Stop at the Trail Heads for easy hiking trail or just the road.

Awesome views! Easy drive (4x4). We went from Como up to Breckenridge.

Trail is currently occupied entirely by very cold overflow stream, so we did Shrine Pass Road instead!

This is a really nice road for a scenic drive. Very interesting story of the area at the pass. A lot of history there. It took about an hour and a half from the Breck side, but we stopped at the pass and looked around for about 20 minutes too. Definitely not a 4 x 4 road. It is in really good shape, and you can do this in a car no problem. There is only one slightly rocky part at the very bottom of the Como side, that's it. Lots of Aspens along this drive so it must be nice in the fall. I could see this being a good road to look for wildlife either early morning or late in the day too. We will go back sometime to see. Lots of people camped along this road the day we went. Check it out.

The scenery was very good and it’s always fun to be on the divide. The drive from Breckenridge was quick and the road is well maintained. Went up in in the Land Rover but could have made it with the Subaru. It was 90 degrees in Denver and a nice cool 65 degrees at the pass. If you’re looking for an off-road adventure this is not it, but if you want some spectacular views then do it. Will go again.

Took the ATV to this area over the weekend. It was the perfect area for any offroad vehicle! However, there were 2 areas shortly after the gate where large rocks (about 1.5-2 ft in diameter fell on the center of the trail. We were able to sneak by on the ATV, but a regular sized vehicle would not be able to get past due to the narrowness around the rocks. Lots of trails in the area that we were able to explore. Wearymann Trail (which we orginally came to do) was completely overrun with a downhill stream. We took the ATV through the water (which was about 4 inches deep) to the first stream crossing (which was about 6-8 inches deep). We turned around because the water that overran the trail only looked to be getting deeper. Most of the trails in the area had snow remaining on them (between 30% coverage to 100% covered in snow). Will wait a little longer for the stream to die down and more snow to melt and then come back. :)

Great scenic drive. This description was good until describing how to get to Georgia Pass. Failed to mention turning left toward Jefferson and turning right on 54 off 35.
