Brought family of all ages (from 3-63), and enjoyed this trail very much. Nothing too steep, saw some bugs, snakes and a deer from far away. Get there early, as not a ton of parking.

Trail is dry and good to go. There's not much shade for most of it, so be prepared for the sun and the heat. Only saw a few other hikers on a Saturday morning, but saw plenty of mountain bikers. The views of the valley and surrounding foothills are gorgeous. Definitely a little front range gem, but probably best done in the cooler months or early in the morning.

Very nice, pretty easy and straightforward hike. Highly recommend going during the week for some solitude. I went counterclockwise on the All Trails map and I had no problems.

Went on a Sunday evening.. saw a bear, deer, a fox, and no people :). It was a really pretty and easy hike with city and mountain views. The last part of the trail (if you hike clockwise) on alltrails is a bit off (it is correct on the alltrails map, but the red line showing you where to go is off). Just keep following the signs and you'll be fine. It is well marked.

Nice hike close to town. Lots of hikers, lots of dogs, lots of bikes.

This is a solid hike close to Denver. Did this with a group of people of all ages. You will cross a few small creeks here and there. There are some nice scenes walking around, and can see Denver too without it being noisy.

We saw people on horses, and bikes. You can also camp there !

I like how there are multiple trails in this area because it allows you to go on lots of different hikes. We did the Longhorn to Maverick trail and came back on the Mustang trail. It goes up pretty quickly in some areas. Expect snow at the top in mid April. Some people are assholes and didn't clean up after their dogs on the trail, which is why I gave 4 stars.

A beautiful trail that’s close to home for me. A detour (not sure how recent) adds about .7 mile to the total distance. You’re exposed about half the time, so bring enough water on a hot day. Bikers were friendly, and overall the trail was pretty dead on a Friday afternoon!

Overcast afternoon, 54 degrees, almost no one out. Great hike, very quiet and easy to hear the forest

Good hiking here & many other trails to connect to, to make your hike as long or short as you want. Enjoyed the solitude on a Wednesday afternoon, otherwise it's usually more crowded on the weekends. Close to home for me, so it's a go to spot if I'm crunched for time.

Great trail. A lot of just up or down, very little consistant walking. Easy walk but a lot of incline. This was a first hike of the season and had new hikers from out of town. Definitely easy but more aerobic for those who are more out of shape.

Google maps took us to another trail head than what is suggested on this trail. We ended up starting at the other end of Belcher Hill Trail.

It’s a beautiful trail; we did it today with our 1 year old daughter - she loved all the wildflowers and birds. Lots of birds and green on the trail. As it was rainy for a couple of days - there are wide muddy areas on the trail - had to be careful not to slip on the mud. Saw 3 people slip on our short trip. There are so many options to go about the trail - long or short - Will definitely go back later this year.

Great hike. Wonderful views. Crazy muddy though. Incredibly slippery. The dog and shoes were covered in mud by the end.

Awesome meadows. Mountain views. Lightly trafficked by other hikers. Some mountain bikers but not too many. Spotted lots of deer. Easy parking

It was great. Easy to moderate. Beautiful and easy to get to

Horrible trail.. felt like a second class citizen because of all the mountain bikers. It’s also not ‘hard’ like the review says.. it’s quite tame.

Amazing trail for bikers some good mechanical stuff in the beginning and gnarly.

First half is dry and ashy like a fire once burned there but the other half is lush and green like fairies live there ;)

Easy trail with some good views of Denver

Really cool geology and views. We got there around 8:30a.m. and were one of two cars in the parking lot. We left around 11a.m. and the lot was full. Even for being there as early as we were, we saw tons of mountain bikers. We also saw a rattle snake and a dusky grouse! Overall, it’s a nice hike.

Easy hike, nice views. Great when you want to squeeze a little one.

Amazing views especially the loop at the top but I would not hike this trail again. We got passed by 50+ bikers some who were nicer than others in sharing the trail. Biker experience took away from the hike. I would definitely not recommend taking a dog on this trail.

Pretty hike and a good workout but WAY too many mountain bikes. No exaggeration, we passed (or got passed by) 75+ bikes today. We hiked about 8.5 miles (Belcher to Mustang to Sawmill and back) and there were bikes throughout the entire way.

Great easy hike though there’s quite a bit of mountain bikers. Keep your eyes up!
