The view at the top is great! Very quiet, not many people on the trail. Can get slick in some areas. Views were ok throughout. Top is your moneymaker

Seemed more dry and desolate than most of the trails I've been on. Didn't see any water anywhere which was actually nice at times because of how quiet it got. Great views at the top.

Pack a ton of water. When you think you’ve packed enough, throw in another bottle. Beautiful views from lookout. 100% worth the hike.

Fabulous hike!!

The summit trail was pretty tough, gravely rocks made it slippery. The incline is constant, with some good breaks through meadows.
The end view would be better in spring/early summer when the snow is still around in the distance.
Watch your dog’s paws-some might not be able to handle how rocky it is without boots.

9-3-18: just finished the summit trail w/husband & 10 year old. It took us about 5 1/2 hours to finish this hike. We loved it & are in great shape but I don't agree that this is a good trail for little kids. It's pretty steady incline the first mile, a bit of a break on the 2nd mile & 3rd then you're back to pretty steady inclines. I didn't think there was much noise that 1st mile & there aren't many hikers. The summit is definitely disappointing but still didn't put a damper on our hike. My kid did feel a little dizzy with the altitude change & had to sit for a bit.

on Crosier Mountain Trail

Trail is average compared to all of the amazing options Colorado offers but I'm always looking for somewhere new. We clocked 10 miles from Drake fire station. The hike is continuous up thru pine with occasional breaks for views w trail topping out at a rock cropping w views of RMNP. Saw 6 bow hunters on the trail. Why they have to be on recreational hiking trails is beyond me but I found it unsettling. Won't repeat this one.

Beautiful hike! There were meadows and thick forests! Only downside was there was no water, only some dried stream beds. We took the crosier rainbow trailhead that is 8.0 miles from US 34; very steep and wonderfully challenging. Would say the rainbow trail is difficult rather than moderate.

So beautiful at the summit. So worth it!

Wonderfully peaceful and scenic hike. My friends and I saw not a sole on a beautiful day. Great views on top!

Amazing trail, great views and not very crowded. Currently there is a sign at the trailhead warning of a black bear siting that happened on July 18th, just a heads up. Also the directions are accurate, the trailhead starts up and over a berm to the right of the metal gate.

Great but difficult hike (trail head says it’s a difficult rating and I’d agree). Took a 9 and 10 yo along. Took us 3.5 hours up and 2 down. Awesome view at the top which makes it worth it. About .6 miles up is an abandoned mine that goes about 80 feet back into the rock. The kids loved it. No water sources so bring at least 2.5 liters per person.

So happy this jewel is accessible now I was getting withdrawals

It’s open! About 20 cars fit in the parking lot. We started at 7am and it was empty. The lot was full when we returned. Most people seemed to start around 9am. Really nice views the whole way up!

Officially reopened. Great opportunity to see Big Thompson canyon. Take in the nice views along the way up because the summit views aren’t memorable; be sure to sign into the summit log book. Enjoyed the nature trivia boards on the way up, too. Bring lots of water!

Among my favorites for young kids. Plenty of tree cover and a steady incline, but not too steep for little legs and if you are wearing a baby. We used to hike this almost weekly, leaving Loveland about 10am, packing light lunch to eat on trail or in car after, and home around 2 pm, just iin time for naps.

Closed until further notice while Larimer County upgrades area and Big Thompson Canyon & Hwy 34 is restored. Found out the hard way after scoping out the trail on this app the night before.

Hiked this 3 days ago. We had very good visibility so views to both Loveland and Estes Park were fabulous! This is pretty a vertical climb and bring plenty of water!

Started from Garden Gate TH. Good views. Good climb. Some steep and rocky areas and other sections go through open meadows.

Both the "Summit Trail" and the "Nature Trail" are maintained by the members of the Loveland Mountain Club. Two things that are helpful to know about the"Summit Trail" trail: (1). It's a dry trail, there aren't any sources of water available, (2) If you want a nice summit view follow the little use trail from the summit cairn about twenty - thirty yards to the west for an excellent view of the Mummy Range peaks.

Crosier is a large complex mountain with three feeder trails leading to the main trail that traverses the mountain from east to west.

Great hike, definitely moderate. Rocky in parts and trees in others. Lots of flowers and butterflies about half way up. At the top it isn't easy to get a full view due to trees but it was definitely a beautiful hike with excellent views on the journey up!

Did the rainbow entrance. Pretty steep, but so pretty! Great views off the top.

Love this trail!! Went out solo last summer and did the nature trail which is a nice short trip to get your feet wet with. Then, was finally able to go back and try the summit trail after they opened the canyon back up this spring. We loved it! Didn't quite make it to the summit because it got too hot, but we'll definitely be going back to complete it!

Beautiful trail!! Took a solo trip up on a rainy/foggy day and saw 1 other human the entire time. We didn't make it to the summit because of the storm, but we loved what we did manage to get done. The Drake trail is rated as difficult on the map at the trailhead which I think is accurate.

Crosier kicks my butt every time I hit it. Great hike, quiet trail, and a lung burner.

I enjoyed the views and abundant wildflowers on the trail. The trail was marked as difficult on the sign at the entrance to the trail and it is apt. However, the journey is worth the inclines. I highly recommend you bring twice the amount of water you need, I sincerely regreted not bringing more. All in all worth it, and will be heading back again.

This hike was absolutely stunning. The climb up was definitely that-- a climb. The trailhead itself ranks this hike as "difficult" so be prepared for that instead of the moderate that AllTrails has given it.
The views however were incredible and totally worth all the huffing and puffing and water breaks it took to reach the summit.
We saw two mountain bikers and 5 other hikers over our 6 hour venture (some of which spent offtrailing) on July 4th weekend which was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this trail!!!

Beware, there are a ton of cacti along the trail, and this is an intense one! Great to hear the river from the distance and cool views!
