Great trail

Great hike! I’m from California so the altitude was challenging. But worth it!

Best hike of our trip. My wife and I started and finished at the Jud Wiebe trailhead. Moderate-Hard. The hardest part for us was the saddle. Slippery (small dry gravel) and steep on the way up and rock hopping in the way down. We saw some marmots, and 1 other person! This was mid September, 2016.

Great trail. Awesome views. Jeep did fine no issues. Only drawback was all the side by sides. Rude, did not make sure narrow areas were clear and just go. Made them back up to passing areas a few times. People remember in Colorado up hill traveling vehicle has right-a-way.

Beautiful Hike - every turn you take you either have an awesome viewpoint or eyes on a waterfall. Hiked this in last August while a storm was rolling in. It was overcast, but I imagine on a clear day you will be hot and in the sun for most of the hike.
Any 4x4 car will make it to the top of Bridal Veil Falls (no need for high clearance). The first fork in the trail: Right will take you to Silver Lake. Second fork in the trial: Left will take you to Blue Lake, Right will take you to Lewis Lake

The recorded track shown on AllTrails is the left branch. I took the right branch (splits at unmarked post abt 1 mi in) as described by the Ouray trails website. Only went 5k out + back. Nice + shady in the morning, mostly good trail surface, almost a beginner trail for this area. Three good spots for the dogs to get water. Saw bear track on approach road and heard one in the woods. Pack hunters loading up to go in as I was leaving (September 12). Wear orange.

OMG. Like Bill said, moderate is an understatement. However, I followed a couple of guys and they taught me alot. My maiden voyage for me and my jeep. The view at the summit was beyond magnificent. It was a challenge mentally somewhat, but worth gaining the experience.

Best trail I've ever hiked in the 10 years I've been hiking.

The views are amazing, and the gondolla makes the views more accessible than they would be on foot. However, anyone considering this hike needs to know that the immediate environs are just ugly, as the entire "trail" is within the ski resort. You are either hiking up ski slopes - scarred, gravelly hillsides with snow making equipment looming like streetlights - or you're walking a gravelly fire road wide enough for two trucks to pass. Each viewpoint has a ski lift terminal or some other building impeding the view.
The views are amazing, but there are better ways to get to them around the canyon.

Considered this hike hard. Continous incline until reaching the lake. Unfortunately the day was overcast and the lake wasn't as blue. Great views and waterfalls. Took us 4 hours to complete

Very steep up, but great views and mine site. 2:45 total tome for hike.

A hidden gem in my opinion. Packed in and camped at the top of the lower valley. Had the Canyon to ourselves. As others have said, the trail is not well marked.
For day hike, we scrambled up the drainage and eventually met up with another trail that follows the perimeter. Learned that this trail can be found if you take a right turn on to a single-trek trail off the main road you come in on. The trail was a saving grace after scrambling through the scree field. Be prepared for quick weather changes at this time of the year.
Eventually scrambled to the saddle for a view of Island Lake. All in all, a beautiful Labor Day adventure.

Great easy road. Great views.

I did this trail back in mid-July. When you turn up to start Wasatch you'll start the real elevation. Spectacular views where I stopped to set camp. Near the 2nd waterfall. Amazing trail.

More of a mountain bike trail Then a hiking trail. Pretty flowers but trail is dusty and steep in some areas making it difficult to have sure footing.

This is an absolutely stunning hike. We drove our jeep to the top of bridal veil Falls near the powerhouse and parked in the sixth switch back up. There is no parking at the very top of the 4 x 4 trail near the powerhouse. We are flatlanders from Ohio and it was our first day at altitude so we were sucking wind most of the way up. Took us about 2 hours and 10 minutes to reach the lake. Started hailing as soon as we got up there. It was a beautiful hike all the way through with a stream, waterfalls, and amazing mountain scenery the whole way. For sure one of my favorite hikes of all time. Bring a lot of water, I drank about 4 L, and make sure to dress in layers and be prepared for weather at the top.

Great trail that doesn’t share with bikers. Well demarcated with orange ribbons so you stay on the correct path.

We did the hike starting from the very bottom of the falls since we just had a small sedan. The hike was about 11 miles from the bottom round-trip (per my Fitbit) and was about 150 flights up. The trail was gorgeous! Honestly, it was one of the prettiest hikes I’ve ever been on (and I’ve also hiked Mt Sneffels). Since we went at the end of August, the colors were breathtaking and we started around 7:00 am so the mountains were shrouded with clouds & mist. It was awesome. Definitely a challenging hike since the first 5+ miles are all incline. The Lake itself isn’t that spectacular but it was cool to see the old mining ruins next to it.

lot of climbing but waterfall and mining cabin worth the trip

Nice hike up with lots of switchbacks. Started at lower, then upper Cascades Falls and hiked to peak for a beautiful view onto Ouray and beyond. Did not continue to mine for time reasons, but enjoyable hike. 3 hour round trip.

This is a cute- short trail with great views. Good for little ones to feel like an explorer. Can take Big Billies Trail back towards The Peaks- though that's an incline with no shade, fyi.

Pretty views, well-kept trail. It is definitely very short, so would be good for kids/those looking for a very easy, quick outing. We took two dogs and it was definitely dog friendly.

Amazing views!!

So - this is a spectacular hike !
We started (per the app) at the mid station gondola and hiked the “see forever” trail . . . BUT don’t stop there. 1:45 to top of “see forever” - then proceed to top of gold hill and proceed to the steel extreme ski stairs (stairway to heaven) which adds another hour - then another hour back down to the Wasatch trail down to Bear creek (3 hrs). Wasatch is absolutely splendid. So total time on a relaxed agenda was about 7 hrs. Could be done in 5.5 - 6 straight thru - but too many photo ops and lunch spots !
Great flowers - elk and small varmints. Great Alpine views and only saw two other hikers.

Beautiful trail - nice, flowery switchbacks with gorgeous views!

Best trail that I know of in the area! The trail itself is more challenging than others, which I appreciate, and the views are amazing!

Super short, great for little kids, cool water fall to see. Great to see if you are just site seeing around Ouray

It’s $5 to get in. Pretty but nothing too exciting.
