Super easy hike. Parking was a bit of a cluster. The lost next to the lake was completely full and the dirt lot across the street was also full with lots cars lining the road. Got lucky and got a spot in the gravel lot.

Easy walk and very peaceful when there's not too many people.

Paved trail to a dramatic overlook. Many marmots were out sunning and running around the afternoon we visited. It was very crowded with lots of families and kids.

Very easy around the lake. Went from there up to Bear Lake, which was more strenuous but doable if in reasonable physical condition. First 3/4 mile lots of dead trees and horse poop, as mentioned at previously, but that gives way to some nice uphill climb. Some pretty cool views along the way. Wanted a quiet hike on a Saturday morning and it gave us that.

Very pretty lake. Great view of Long’s. Kids love this spot.

This is a special trail because of the views and landscape. The lack of oxygen makes it a pretty slow walk, but you don't need to rush the view, so take your time. Climb the rock formation at the end of the trail to see the map, have a seat and realize how lucky you are to be there.

Great stop for incredible views, but not much of a hike.

super easy and beautiful pictures!

Open paved trail. Trail wasn’t exciting, but it was pretty neat and exciting to kids to see the old cabins.

Trail is awesome. You will get to see the Tundra. Since elevation is high there is less oxygen. So go slow:)

This super easy trail near Estes Park is a great way to pass the time. We took this walk with our parents who are in their late 60s and they loved it.

We went about 2 hours before sunset (6:30) on 7/2 and there was plenty of parking and not many people on the trail (especially if you add the ridge section to your hike). We saw ducks (and babies), muskrats, chipmunks, hummingbirds, paedomorphic tiger salamanders (look for them in the shallow water close to the shore), and lots of marsh birds. Also some beautiful flowers. Afternoon sunlight was great for photography, and birds seem to hang out close to the trail. One of our favorite spots (when not crowded!)

If you hike just the lake loop, it’s great. If you hike it from the Glacier basin campground, the signs are wrong when it comes to distance. It’s longer than it says it is.

pretty flowery meadow with elk and good history stories about Ranching in the valley

Hiked east portal trail to Sprague Lake. The hike was not very inspiring. Lots of horse poop. Lots of dead trees and piles of trees ready to burn. The lake itself was very nice. Not clear as most of the lakes here. Maybe because it’s so early we were blessed to see a moose cow with young calf feeding in slough. Lots of great pictures. Best part of hike was at the end with Scramble up Emerald Mountain. Very strenuous, worth it. Amazing views.

Super easy loop around a beautiful lake. Great for small children or less mobile individuals as the path is basically a paved path around straight from the parking lot. The views are amazing all the way around. Great place to stop for a picnic lunch as well.

Great easy walk, I fished it but the only problem was that it was as crowded as a theme park. It had a great view of the continental divide which was beautiful.

Nice trail with beautiful views and hardly any elevation change. Would do this trail again. Although the parking area was busy the trail wasn’t so we enjoyed our time here very much.

Very easy trail. Saw a ton of wildlife including 8 moose (that’s not a typo) and lots of elk. Moose were in the valley and then behind the cabins there were 2 small moose & a huge bull. Great trail early in the day or late in the evening.
