Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a 789-acre city park in Colorado Springs. It is situated on the west side of the city, adjacent to Manitou Springs and south of U.S. Route 24. The park consists of a series of parallel ridges (called "hogbacks") and eroded canyons, a continuation of the same sandstone rocks of the Fountain Formation that make up Garden of the Gods a few miles to the north.

A great area to explore that is close to Colo Springs. There are many trails that weave in and out of each other and many social trails as well. There is a gentle incline if you follow the trails to the south end of the park that provide some very nice views. the trails are well maintained and wide for the most park. It can get crowded so plan accordingly with regards to parking.

great trail. easy but does have some steep inclines. very beautiful

Snowy Sunday morning with the wife and daag

Great trails - I love to take my dog here!

Fantastic hike for bringing company from out of town.

Fairly easy as long as you follow the trail.

We did one of the black trails, challenging but fun, smoothed out to and intermediate trail. Great hike.

Very beautiful, lots of fun

Nice and easy trail, but the map is difficult to read and it is hard to gage how long each trail is without a map.

Very impressed with the beautiful view! I found this trail to be very easy. This is a perfect trail for taking faithful 4 legged companion.

Excellent views! Excellent workout! The dog and I are both beat.

Lots of beautiful rock formations and side trails to take. Almost level easy hiking, good for the whole family.

I was expecting a hike and ended up doing nothing more than walking down a wide dirt road. There were some cool things to see, but I wouldn’t go back there unless it was to trail ride or run.
Not a good hiking spot.

Easy and lovely day-hiking, and there are plenty of easy biking trails for medium (2nd or 3rd grade) kids and up. The walking trails are easy, and plenty of rocks to scramble. Some of the biking trails are a bit more difficult. The bike park / activity area between the parking lots is a great place to polish some skills and have some easy fun!
