Nice trail along the Colorado river but a lot of erosion along the trail

We loved it (7 year old not so much) as it it challenging!

Did this hike yesterday. Trail head starts at launch one. Tail is fairly narrow at points and several areas of the trail were starting to become overgrown. My wife and I used the trail to access the river along the way for fly fishing. There were several primitive camp sites along the way. The only other people we saw along the way were fishing. Overall a good hike with amazing views!

As others have said, a narrow trail along the Colorado River. Great fishing access though

Narrow trail but nice views along the River. We took our three pups about 1.75 miles in before hearing a suspicious buzzing/rattling (though we didn't see anything) that caused us to turn back. Some good places for the pups to take a dip in the River and a few places to camp for those so inclined.

Very narrow with very steep drop offs in places making it challenging with a large dog. Almost everyone we met had dogs off leash & there just wasn't room for them to sniff & do their dog circles. The sign in the parking lot said "extreme" hike, & the ranger we stopped ( couldn't find the trailhead--go to Launch 1) said it's "gnarly". We turned around about 1.3 miles in as trail too narrow with dog.
The river is beautiful & would love to raft there.

The trail is an out and back trail that follows the ridge above the river until the canyon walls are to steep to continue any further. Great views of the river. This hike is not for kids because the trail follows the very edge of the canyon.
