Beautiful hike. No spots of interest, creeks, or watering holes, just a beautiful forest hike. Make sure to bring plenty of water for your dogs though, I was hoping for a creek at some point but ended up giving half my water to my dogs.

Was pretty muddy but fun for the sunset!

My family and I hiked this trail in 2012. Another trail we found out about it in Colorado's Incredible Backcountry Trails by David Day. The first day was perfect, we didn't see another hiker the entire time. We covered the entire distance in one day and reached Luna Lake before sunset. The scenery along the Wyoming Trail is spectacular and can be quite challenging at times. If you are looking for a good three day trip, this one is hard to beat.

In my Ford F150 4x4 I drove past the snowmobile drop off area, and that's where things went bad. When it says 'the trail is only accessible from', pay attention. As I drove up a long, curvy section of the service road my four wheel drive lost traction and I bottomed out. After digging out my tires and making tracks to allow my wheels the chance to gather momentum I drove in reverse all the way back to the snowmobile parking lot. I guess I'll have to wait till June to tackle this trail. Along the way I saw multiple elk herds and mule deer a plenty.
