Amazing and flowy. Quite the elevation gain and descent, but well worth it.

Second time I’ve encountered rowdy people, and littering.

Great hike! Beautiful views! Started lightning so didn't make it to the top but we will be back!

Perfect for running, pretty tough climb however as it’s 1400ft in a little over 2.5 miles. The way down you can absolutely fly

Arrived in the late afternoon right before the rains came in so although not shaded, the breeze felt nice, so many views just unobstructed and those waterfalls, magical. A deer and her baby were running around towards the end, this one was awesome!

Beautiful trail! Hiked up to the ridge, then ran down to the falls. The ridge is 100% worth the climb! 360 views. The falls were minimal but it was a nice beautiful trail. Got here at 630am and parking lot was almost full. Would not do on a hot day. Adding to my favorites!

I loved this route. First I went to the top of Horsetooth Falls. It took me on the edge of the mountains above Horsetooth Reaervoir. Then I looped back and went to Horsetooth Rock before going back to the trailhead. There was a bigger rattlesnake about a mile form the trailhead.

Great trail that has a mix of some sunny, open areas and goes into some forest. Beautiful views throughout most of the hike. It’s busy so definitely go early. Saw a bull snake on the way down so be cautious.

Beautiful hike, I wasn’t expecting the view at the end, it’s actually pretty easy until that last 1/2 mile.

very fun but very up hill. Best view from rock though.

Too many college students who have dogs and don't pick up their crap. very annoying but if you do it early you can beat the crowds.

trail does not include horsetooth rock. I added it to my itinerary and ended up with 10.3 miles and 2400 feet of elevation gain. a good part of the trail is on service road.

This is a great hike on a cool or even snowy day. Great views from the top of the rock after a little scramble. The waterfalls are also worth a walk to.

Beautiful hike that will definitely get your heart rate up!

Completed this portion as part of the Horsetooth Mountain summit. I've done the Horsetooth Rock trail to summit many times and was looking for something a little different. PRO TIP: Take the Audra Culver trail to the top to see some truly amazing views of RMNP and avoid almost all of the day hikers on Horsetooth Rock. It is my new favorite section of this trail system. The South Ridge trail will get you to Audra Culver. Views from South Ridge are nice. It reminds me of a mountain dirt road to be honest and is popular with bikers. Its worth the slog up to the Audra Culver trailhead. WILDLIFE: saw wild turkeys, Mule Deer, and an Abert's Squirrel (highlight of the hike really), which was only the second I've ever seen and first outside of RMNP. Trust me... take Audra Culver up! Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite trails. This time of year it is green and gorgeous. If you want to beat the rush get there before 9. A little bit of rocks, some good climbs, and some fun downhill— this trail has a little of everything for everybody.

Gorgeous short hike to falls. Sweet Ponderosas along the way. Crowded; wouldn’t come on a weekend.

One of my favorite hikes near FOCO. I always suggest an early start, as it can get hot in the late morning and early afternoon. There are areas of the trail with no shade. WILDLIFE: saw a bull snake, deer and wild turkey, along with a multitude of birds. We usually see the snakes on the lower third of the trail, so keep an eye out along the trail sides during the lower section. This is one of the most popular trails in this area, so plan for it to be busy. It is also a multi-use trail with hikers and bikes. Everyone is courteous and bike riders are usually careful. $9 day fee if you have no annual pass. Highly recommend this one!

Not as much of a “hike” as it is a walk but nonetheless it is beautiful! Horsetooth reservoir is nearby and there’s a few stops for dogs to get in for a quick swim. Excited to explore the other trails

Love the hike I recommend for sure Take lots of water..... THE VIEWS

Beautiful hike. Not too many people out on the trail and awesome view on top. Ran into a few bikers so be cautious.
