Great trail. Steep and pretty much clear of rocks making it ideal for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing! Four legged friends are welcome but on leash. Views are awesome as you progress and get higher. We went yesterday and if you go sometime soon you will be rewarded with fresh deep powder!

could not access the trail.. the road was about 8 miles of 4wd snow covered road. beautiful out there though !

Gorgeous hike! There was quite a bit of snow on the trail so make sure to wear waterproof shoes. Very few people were on the trail. Our five year old had no problem keeping up.
We parked at the Ford garage in Beaver Village, hiked through the Five Senses Trail in town up to the trailhead of Beaver Lake Trail.

Gorgeous area. Savage peak just dawns over you, and the lakes are beautiful. I camped here, and if you plan to do the same, keep in mind that much of the year it can be somewhat swampy and if you don't get there early you're options for a dry camping spot are pretty limited.

One of the most beautiful vistas I’ve seen.

Wide trails, a bit icy at the top.

Awesome trail. Beautiful destination. Make a day of it though. The trek there is all uphill!

super fun

Aspens were great today, September 30. Be sure to go all the way to the bridge over the creek.

Good hiking trail. No obstructions. Moderate ascents and descents. Very scenic. Many aspen groves. Probably about a week late for peak aspen color change. Hiked to bridge and enjoyed lunch by creek. Very few hikers, maybe about a dozen. Highly recommend.

A beautiful hike through a huge aspen grove. 5 starts for hitting it around the peak of the yellowing leaves today. My Apple Watch called it 4.7 miles from the trailhead to the bridge and back.

Pretty view of the aspens in late September!

It is a hard trail. Some what challenging. Great views

Amazing hike! A bit steep at the beginning but then mellows out a bit. The streams and lakes are incredibly beautiful! Be sure to take big spray. Highly recommend!!

We took this tail from Allie's trail to head back down. Beautiful trail but LOTS of horse poop on the trail which makes it hard to find places to walk since it's everywhere.

Ran into 2 hunters and 4 hikers the whole day. A good spot to actually enjoy nature. The hike has an incline the majority of the trail, it's a big gain in elevation.

All the good of Colorado. Even the drive, while a little rough is 5 star.

We've done this one a couple times and it's such a wonderful, reasonable hike if you're looking for a beautiful wooded lake at the end! The first portion is a wide horse trail, which is steep, but easy going.

Make sure to pack a lunch and work your way around the lake to bask on one of the big rocks at the edge of the lake!

Very lush full of wild life and berries along the trail for miles. Nice views of some peaks through the aspen trees at the start, as you descend into the valley you will find a bridge crossing the stream where most hikers will end their hike. If you travel past this bridge you will find beautiful waterfalls first one a half mile past second one is at a mile up, and so on. Mushrooms galore.
