It’s a very nice trail !!

Great hike and easy for kids. Saw a deer.

This is one of our favorite trails! Kid friendly and a nice family hike

Beautiful easy hike close to Boulder and other trails in the park. This trail was a more recent addition to the park.

Easily accessible. Had lots of available parking. Very easy & short. Gradual inclines & declines. No mountain biking allowed or horses on this particular section as signs indicate, but some reviews mention they ran in to some. Took about 45 minutes with several stops.

Easy little hike for families with kids (4/2 w/ us) while providing that "away" feeling. Great views and like many others saw wild turkeys including a family with chicks.

One of my local favorite hikes. Gradual climb that is a good workout at the same time. Beautiful area. Lots of mountain bikers but they are all very nice.

Shared with nice mountain bikers and no other hikers. Peaceful half day workout!

Beautiful pines and vistas with wild turkeys frolicking in the meadows!

Great easy hike for guests visiting from out of town.

nice trail rocky in some stretches..good views about 3 miles out

Did the Wapiti and Ponderosa Loop trails. Conditions good, just a few muddy patches, easily skirted. Encountered maybe six bikers and a similar number of hikers in three hours on the trail. Not much wildlife - birds, four deer, a few chipmunks. Very pleasant hike, and enough of a workout to be satisfying. There are some extended mild inclines that get the heart rate up a bit.

I went to this hiking spot and chose the one with the most elevation gain ( that’s not currently closed) it’s a great trail.

awesome trail for hiking, running and lots of biking.

I'd say this is less of a hike and more of a walk, but it's a beautiful area, and an easy little trail for kids. There's a rock that looks like a bulldog's face, a rock kiln, and a chance to see some wildlife.

Too many bikers on this trail. My GPS showed 14.6 miles and 1392 ft elevation gain.

A nice hike for me. Lots of Ponderosa Pine and boulders. Wild Turkey were plentiful and there was only one other couple on the trail. Will definitely do again.

Nice, easy loop trail in the Heil Valley Ranch area. Saw several groups of wild turkey and some mule deer. Also popular with mountain bikers (they are required to go in counter-clockwise direction).

Nice and easy Sunday meander. We walked up to the first bench on the Wapiti, sat on the bench checking out the scenery and bikers zooming by.

Great for kids and mountain biking. Not difficult.

Easy trail and well maintained... good workout distance wise with inclines not being strenuous compared to other hikes... not too many “ah ha” moments but lots of wildlife... saw deer , turkey, gopher (at least I thought that’s what they were lol)... saw about 10 mountain bikers and only 1 other hiker on a Wednesday afternoon... seemed more of an attraction for mountain bikes than hiking... minimal mud/ice and no need for traction when hiking

LOVE THIS TRAIL but letting everyone know that it is closed currently for what looks like flood repairs :( unsure as to when it is going to open again

Nice easy hiking. Pretty views

Lichen Loop: Great for my boys 7 and 10 years old. Long enough to tire them out and short enough to not “need a snack”!

Beautiful trail but the number of mountain bikers flying down the hill without slowing at all make it an unpleasant exercise in surprise for a hiker. Most of them don't warn you they're coming up on you and you have no time to get out of their way; usually its a matter of jumping when you hear them 10 yards behind you going 15 mph. They're technically supposed to slow to go around you but the speed they are going didn't seem that it would be possible. Don't recommend for hiking anyway.
