Very scenic and it does not take you long to experience solitude.

initial climb is ridiculous! The rest of the hike was nice. not much to enjoy walking back on the roadway. But no way that we would down the vertical section.

great trail And the falls are beautiful.

Don't waste your time. Out in the open and exposed to the sun and heat. Views are no better than those while driving the road. Could be useful for someone acclimating to the altitude. May be pretty in autumn when the leaves change, but there are better hikes for that.

Wanted to jump in lake it was beautiful

Cute little place!! Awesome mini waterfall to the right after you cross the river where you can slide off a naturally made rock slide and jump off a little cluster of rocks!

went to the falls then kept going to the end.

Nice short hike.

Awesome trail with incredible views! Hiked to Judd Falls and then continued on the Copper Creek Trail for a total of six miles out and back. Great hike! Lots of "cow pies" and a couple instances where I had to go around some cattle but no big deal.

This is one of many trails in this area but not all of them are on alltrails.com. Some of the lakes don't even have names on maps. Remote and desolate. Amazing.

Lovely day for this lovely little hike. We had it to ourselves, feeling as if you are at the top of the world. Saw a marmot scramble up the nearby slope at great speed, nothing to do with us.

Great bike ride but no guard rails!

Easy hike with underrated views.

On a holiday weekend plan on BIG crowds. Expect great views, but lots of noise on most of the hike during a holiday weekend. Great if you want to play in the water and hike!

The trail is big kid friendly (5+). I hiked it with my two year old and had to carry him across the river and a few other times because of mud and tree roots. Wasn't a huge hassle to carry him because he liked to take breaks from walking. Lots of photo opportunities and a nice waterfall to cool off in.

The hike runs through free range cow fields. The main and only path to walk on is cluttered with cow patties as well as all around, and the smell is horrid. The trail says dog friendly but I'd highly recommend not bringing them! A lot of run off water intercepts the path but it is beyond contaminated with cow shit due to it being everywhere aside from one main run off drain which looked fairly clean. I crossed paths with another owner and dog who had rolled in about just as much cow crap as my dog. All in all I was really not impressed! If you like cow shit and mushroom picking this is your spot!

Hiked 1.3 miles on trail. Very easy, very comfortable while escorting two friends from Texas unaccustomed to altitude. Encountered a big, icky mud pit. We turned around, opting to keep shoes clean. Pretty waterfall nearby.

Nice, scenic, lots of switchbacks but great for families. My 4 year old did the whole thing. The views at the top were incredible and we saw 6 Ptarmigan and a Pika.

Great trail for kids. We did this one with a little on in a pack and two preschoolers. The falls are beautiful with a little bench/overlook area. We will do this one again.

Nice, kid-friendly hike. Views of the falls are good, and there are a few informative signs along the way. Quite a few 4wd vehicles and a couple mountain bikers to be aware of in the beginning of the trail.

Love this hike. You can keep it short & super easy just going to the falls ... or a little further to the first river crossing. You can keep going and cross more rivers giving you more adventure. It's perfect for families who may want to start easy, but add on if the kids are doing well. Very beautiful.

Beautiful all around views. Better to double back when you get to the end of the lake. We didn't see the point of the return route along the road for quite a distance.

Nice hike through the town of Gothic. Make sure you stop in Gothic and check out the visitor center. The falls were beautiful.

Walk on a road for part of it... but the whole hike is pretty and the lake is beautiful!

Stayed in a cabin here close to fall, was pretty cold atving but so worth it the views r amazing and the beautiful landscape breathtaking. Loved this trip. Bundle up it can rain and get pretty freaking cold lol!
