Beautiful. Easy out and back trail. The end of the trail offer great view. No sheds though. Went out there this morning (around 6.30am on May20, 2018) so it felt nice when the sun was out. I could see it being super hot in mid-summer days.
there were some muddy spots in the beginning but they dried out pretty quickly.

GF and I did this hike two days ago and absolutely loved it. The Curecanti Creek is running high with runoff right now and was present in all of it's incredible glory. As most have commented, the climb back up is moderately strenuous, but we did it in short time. The map is a little deceptive as the trail leads all the way down to where the creek feeds into the reservoir. This is now one of our favorite hikes.

Super easy hike. Bring the dogs or kids, and a lunch to eat at the end. Great early season hike, just be prepared for super muddy spots on the trail!

Kinda strenuous, but totally worth it.

Beautiful views throughout. Beautiful in the fall time

Great trail and views! Park sign say 6 miles, not 4.9..... and almost 1800' elevation gain. End of Nov and still very warm. Wonderful rock walking at bottom and beautiful driftwood.

If you get the chance you should absolutely hike this trail!!

It has been a few years since we've been on this tour, but it still remains one of my favorite memories and hikes.

Though it's quite a drop, the hike back up actually felt quite gradual. Because of this (and because I'm not super athletic), I'd rate it as moderate. Of course we were hiking in October ~ perhaps the midday sun in summer would make it a different story! Ahh, but it's just about as beautiful as it gets...

It's so peaceful and very diverse.

Awesome trail. Creek is very pretty to walk along. At the end you get to a larger lake like body of water with the canyon all around you. Take a swim! The hike back is a nice little workout

This hike starts off route 92 and travels deep into a beautiful canyon.  The trail runs parallel to a raging waterfall leading to a serene reservoir with the Curecanti Needle in prominent display along the way. While it's definitely steep on the way back up, if you're in reasonable shape this hike is doable.

We did this trail at night. Started around 8pm. Took small kids and dogs with us. Fun trail and a great view. Lots of ambient light so we barely needed our lights.

This is a down and back up trail, so conserve energy and water to compete the trail. Vault toilet toward the bottom of the canyon.

Absolutely amazing

The Devils Corkscrew will teach you a thing or two! Be ready for the big uphill. Trail paved with stones in some areas.

Great trail but easier than local trail maps describe it. Still a nice little workout trail and relaxing view of both the pinnacles and Blue Mesa Reservoir at the top. Take a yoga mat or a chair for lounging at the big open lookout point.

This is an amazing trail... Drops 900ft so be prepared. Bring lots of water..

Nice trail--was there on a wet day, recommend not going when it's been wet, as the soil gets pretty muddy and traffic contributes to trail degradation. But overall, the trail is well maintained and gives a great view of the Dillon Pinnacles. Dogs are allowed, on leash, so that's a plus!

Great trail! Lots of beautiful scenery and not too difficult. Would not recommend this for small children or older people....an older gentleman was injured on some rocks and had to have search and rescue come assist while we were there.

Great views of the Pinnacles but you see it all from the road. No adventure around the next corner.

Love this trail! It can be a bit strenuous and rocky in spots. It is very beautiful and strenuous. This is a hike that you do want to be prepared for. (ie a pack with emergency supplies, food, water)
