The Heart of the World Colorado National Monument preserves one of the grand landscapes of the American West. But this treasure is much more than a monument. Towering monoliths exist within a vast plateau and canyon panorama. You can experience sheer-walled, red rock canyons along the twists and turns of Rim Rock Drive, where you may spy bighorn sheep and soaring eagles.

Started around 345 pm. Very pretty. My suggestion is go clockwise for the best views.

all in the sun would do it in the morning if during the summer. great views of the valley and a little mine

Really worth it. Plan on doing it again in the spring when there would be water. Definitely worth going to the second waterfall

beautiful hike. definitely do the before you try Mt. Garfield across the valley. If this hike is relatively easy, you should be able to summit garfield.

Best in the evening during the summer because it is mostly shaded. Cool mornings are nice but the sun is on you.

Super easy trail. Great for younger aged kids!

Good solid hike. Nothing fancy considering the other options but worth doing! Good potential daily running spot

DO NOT FOLLOW ALLTRAILS MAP. It leads to an unmarked trail unofficially called “Goats trail”. Just follow the main trail to the initial rock formation and you’re done.

More of a stroll but certainly worth it to an overlook with amazing panoramic views. Watched three mountain goats foraging in the valley below.

Great views and a very easy easy walk.

Great hike and good workout. I took my time because of the steep incline. There are some rocks and things that you could tweak your ankle on but you could wear regular tennis shoes and be okay. There is no shade and the parking fills up so the earlier you can go, the better!!

I love to show people new to the area for the beautiful views, even safe in winter

Easy trail with amazing views. Be careful climbing the huge rocks. Took my time in 93 degree heat, it will drain you.

Easy trail with Gorgeous views! You can get pretty close to the edge while walking across all the rocks so be careful. Definitely therapeutic, if you just want to clear your head. I went off trail and stopped to take lots of pictures. The kids will love it!

Really easy hike and easy to follow as of 08/19/2019, only took about 15 minutes for me to hike so I would recommend looking around more, the view is absolutely beautiful at the devil's kitchen! I would go in the middle and climb up to the view off the cliffside too its gorgeous!

Great trail. Can hike as far or as little as you want. My golden retriever is feeling his age. Cut hike short. Hard time of aging dogs life(:

Great hike but all trails is very off. You get to devils kitchen way before all trails ending point. Follow designated path to devils kitchen. After that there really is no designated trail. You will know you are there when you walk inside grouping of large towering rocks.
