Perfect for trail running this time of year! No mud and lots of beautiful views! It’d be a little hot in June/July since there isn’t any coverage on the trail. The road/trail is very wide so it accommodates all the bikers, runners, and hikers (including strollers) just fine!

Perfect trail for running! I saw a baby rattlesnake and lots of bighorn sheep.

I had heard this place being referred to as Disneyland for dogs so of course we had to go. Even on a mid morning Tuesday it was busier than expected. It was nice to have the pup off the leash and he had a great time playing with other dogs. Not sure if it was because there were so many other people and pets there or the worn trails and well used areas but it still felt urban to me. I’m hoping to find an off leash place with long stretches for solitude and contemplation but this wasn’t it. Still a nice outing for the pup and socialization.

Nice easy stroll for anyone. Nice views. You’ll encounter some mosquitos around the lake/pond areas but otherwise a great trail.

Pretty boring trail, not a lot of access to the water, lots of people, little shade. I did enjoy seeing the goats though.

Very flat hike. Good for beginners. You pretty much get the same view the whole way, but it's gorgeous! I only went about 3.5 miles in and turned around. Lots of traffic on a Sunday, but the trail is so wide hikers, bikers and runners can enjoy in harmony.

We went for a bike ride, it's a beautiful place, mountains, river, bighorn are some of the things you can enjoy on the walk, an easy way for the little ones.

Did this trail on bike. Very beautiful scenery. Saw mountain goats and Deer right next to us. Kind of windy for a bike ride..down hill was fun!

Really nice trail if you are looking for something easy. I was able to do it with my 2 year old with no problem. wide flat trails are both stroller friendly and easy for little legs. If you are looking for an awesome hike I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll definitely do it again.

Very easy, nice hike. I was there on a Thursday at 11am and hiked the whole thing to the reservoir. Lots of wildlife, and lots of humans. I was joined on my hike by probably 20-25 people. I can't imagine how crowded it would be on a weekend.

Nice calm relaxing hike. Not much to see but gets you close to nature

Love this dog park but you do have to pay state park fee plus dog park fee.

So, I originally came here to hike but it was all flat, straight trail and decided to trail run and enjoyed the scenic. If you're here to hike, you might get bored since it doesn't have any excitement on trails but if you're a runner, you'd be appreciate the view, wide road to share with bikers and hikers. Ran into lots of mountain goats and it was a bonus. My rating is between 3 to 4, but give 4 stars for a special nature and wildlife experience.

It's a flat road, so no "hiking". Great views and that babbling river. The sheep were waaaay up on the mountain, but we saw them. A passerby told us they come down to the road more often in the Summer.

Great running road for training. I would frequent this more often since I live close, but no dogs and my Sadie is my running partner.

Good for Sunday morning strolls or jogging. Typically see a tribe of mountain goats and a few mule deer. Very popular and busy from early in the morning until afternoon.

My favorite dog park so far... very large with swimming areas for the dogs. You have to pay the fees. We live close so its worth the annual pass.

see lots of amazing wildlife and full of history! make sure you take a look around for the farm house!

Easy, flat running trail with great views after the first mile. Bighorn sheep, deer, and wildlife galore in December. Long, but worth it.

This is an easy flat trail. There are bathrooms and picnic areas throughout. The bathrooms were clean. If you go to the dam it is about 3.2 miles, so 6.4 up and back if you turn around at that point. Lots of people jogging and great for bikes as the road is compact. I even saw two people with strollers. The trail follows a creek for much of the way. I saw some people fishing. The Big Horn Sheep did not disappoint; they even blocked the trail for a bit. :)

Great little trail. We saw a whole herd of big horned sheep about a mile and half in. Great for little kids. Can get chilly in the shade. Lots of bikers.

this is one of my favorites!! my go to. it's a very wide trail and you always see big horn sheep.

Great trail

Awesome trail that allows you to get some good miles on the boots with minimal elevation gain. Nice views and sitting areas for a snack. Saw a herd of bighorn sheep on the trail, and just observed them for about 30 minutes before they moved off of the trail.

Will definitely do again. Recommend starting early to avoid the crowd.

My dog loves swimming in the ponds here!!

My dogs love this off leash place! If you plan to walk daily the annual pass for state park and annual pass for dog park are well worth the money! Nice walking trail for humans. Some sections are paved. Relatively level. Great ponds for water dogs. Across the street are field training areas. The rest of the park is good for walking as well .
