Boyd Lake State Park is a water-sports haven for northern Colorado. The lake lies at the western-most edge of the plains at the foot of snow-capped Long's Peak and the mountains of the Continental Divide. Boyd Lake State Park has something for everyone: boating, fishing, picnicking, swimming, hiking, biking, and hunting. Our Summer Concert Series has started, the water is warming so come join us for a great day (or few days) of sun and fun. Check out the Concert Series Schedule . All types of watercraft: ski boats, fishing boats, jet skis, sailboats, canoes, use Boyd Lake's 1,700 surface-acres of water. Boyd also has a sandy beach and a pavilion (including Wave Buster's Cafe) for swimmers. Boyd Lake State Park also has a modern campground with 148 paved pull-through sites that can accomodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length. Click the Camping Tab to pull up an aerial view of the campground. The water temperature is 75.1 degrees (surface temperature) The depth is currently 51.4 feet in the center. Currently all boat ramps are open to boating. The ANS inspection site is operating & Boyd Lake is open to boating. The ANS inspection station is located at the main boat ramp only.
