Hiked half of this a week ago. We went counterclockwise in order to see the bikers. It was still REALLY busy with bikes. Trail was pretty exposed, can get hot. Pretty views, nice if you live nearby. I would only hike this again on a non-bike day and if I happen to be in that area.

Did both loops in less than 3 hours. Can see why it’s super popular with mountain bikers! Best to go on Wednesday or Saturday to avoid them

Nice, well-maintained/marked loop, with option to continue almost midway through (if going clockwise) on additional loop (makes total about a bit more than 7 miles?). Relatively flat, not technical at all, pretty easy but pleasant. Bike repair kit near end of trail, just a bit counter clockwise of trail head. Definitely come back to mountain bike!!! No bikes allowed Wed or Sat, so if wanting to hike, come one of those days.

Great trail. Nice views and lots of pines. This spot also has lots of mountain bikers so be aware of the riders. Only got about halfway around due to a storm rolling in, but I’d definitely come back to finish the loop.

Nice trail with lots of shade. The down side is some of the bikers. Most exercised decent trail etiquette. There were a few though that were going inappropriately fast around blind corners.

A great hike that is easy based on incline and terrain and moderate due to length. I’d suggest going early to beat the crowds and to avoid the mountain bikers — who were all super friendly, but were abundant by 11:30 AM.

One of the most beautiful trails near Boulder I ever done. Is not 7 miles it actually did 8.77miles from start to finished. I will definitely come back to do it again.

Nice trail. About 60-70% shaded trail. Lots of bikers on Sunday. Go on Sat when bikes are not allowed. Especially if you have dogs. Great views.

Lush and green. Tons of wildflowers.

Went with a group of 12 from Loveland. Due to Boulder Canyon construction and periodic closures, came from Lyons on Peak to Peak highway and Sugarloaf road to the park. Although a longer drive, roads are scenic. Area is very scenic with green grass and pine trees helped by recent rains. Trails are easy with adequate signage. Covered 7.2 miles in about 4 hours. Great hike and would do again.

Hiked the Canyon Loop yesterday- It took approx. 1.5 hours.....Would have gone on both loops, but our pups were getting tired!. Not a ton of shade - the hike was easy in my option, not moderate. Very pretty surroundings! Only down fall was when we tried to go back to Boulder after the hike- we were rerouted through Nederland & Lyons due to blasting in the Canyon- this made for a VERY long ride home!!

nice easy hike. I'd says its 72% shaded. very limited parking so show up early!!!! great spots to fly a drone too!

Varied terrain, and not too crowded.

Hiked 05/25/19. Dry, clear, well maintained, and beautiful. Not especially challenging, not very crowded if you go early. Be aware of wildlife; saw a bear near the main trailhead.

Perfectly dry and good for hiking.

Great, easy hike. Windy almost the whole loop. My hat kept blowing off! Haha beautiful time to go, small wildflowers skirt the entire trail. A small creek in the there too! I went Friday noon and passed very few people. :)

Got an early start on Sat. 5/18 perfect hiking weather. No crowds, front row parking and as a perk no bikes allowed on Weds. or Sat. Dog friendly hike, we did both loops, Canyon and Benjamin 7.8 miles in under 2.5 hours. I’d say this trail is easier than moderate. I’m 60 and hiked with a small 16 lb. terrier dog with no difficulty. I’d go back but only when no bikes are in the trail, it is so much more pleasant.

Great trail running conditions on both loops.

Great condition. some bikers and runners out here but relatively peaceful.

When we went it was nice and tranquil with not too many people around. A few mountain bikers here and there but everyone was nice and shared the trail well. There were some very nice parts that went through the trees which I would imagine is a welcomed respite against the summer heat. It also seemed like it would be a great place to run if your are into that. All in all, this trail offers a great experience. I’ll be back for sure but next time I’ll try to run it.

Very nice trail and not too challenging to hike. Beautiful scenery and lots of open areas as well as forestry sections. Because of the recent snow fall, the path was a little bit wet and muddy in places but pretty easy to walk around. Because of the 2 loops you can make this trail as long or a short as you’d like it to be. I am definitely coming back!

Nice hike, dry, lots of runners, no wildflowers yet except Oregon Grape.

Great starter trail for the year. Perfect weather.
