Super and epic hike of my lifetime. Cable ascend is just mind blowing experidnce. Done three times in a row:2014,2015,2016

Hiked in August of 2019. One of the best days of my life. Slept in car at parking lot, woke up at 5 am and reached the cables several hours later. Cables were not crowded on our way up. We got up around 11 but on our way down the cables were packed. Would recommend early start

Most beautiful view of my life. Hiked this last September with my 65 year old father. It was forecast to rain at 3pm so we knew we had to get up and down quickly. Woke at 3, began hiking at 4am. Pace yourself up the stairs up past the falls, you’ll need the energy later. We saw so many pass us on the stairs only for us to pass them later and we never saw them again - we assumed many people who attempted this hike didn’t make it / weren’t prepared. Also, the ranger WILL CHECK your permit. If you summit early, he will ticket you on the way down, we saw it happen. We spent two hours at the summit at 8am and didn’t get sick of the views. Headed down and as soon as we got into the car the rain began. This was an experience, not just a hike. Everyone should do this hike once.

I had a GREAT time hiking to the Grizzly Giant from the Mount Raymond Road! 3 miles, 1 1/2 hours, 500 feet elevation gain, a Giant Sequoia, lots of deer, a Park Ranger, and cool temperatures!

You will get wet! Pictures were quick cause my phone was getting soaked from the mist alone. Super amazing views.. short mostly paved trail.. kids absolutely loved it .. tons of people. We used the bus system and had a RV so we could take our time to explore and hike and hang out.. by far my favorite family vacation... can’t wait to go back. My only suggestion is to get out early to the closest parking lot of the trail/trails of your choice as parking (especially for RV) was hard to find.. I mean few and far between.

Best hike ever. Mist trail was better than imagined.

The best place in the world! I can’t wait to go back. This is about 20 miles round trip and we started at 2am to beat the heat. We were so glad we did. We got there early and also beat the crowds. It’s a difficult hike with lots of switchbacks. The Subdome scramble will kick your butt but keep going, you’re almost there. Bring gloves for the cables and don’t leave your gloves behind when your done.

Omg this hike is a must do! Beautiful all around! This hike you should be in good shape. Like it say it’s extremely strenuous! So be ready for it. Bring lots of water and snacks. Also, get good hiking shoes and you can’t forget the rubber gloves to hold on to the wires going up. If you guys like to challenge yourself this is it. You’ll feel great when your all done. You’ll be on top of the world!! You’ll love it!! Good luck and be safe! :)

Hearing the waterfall is so relaxing! This hike is amazing! :)

This trail is spectacular. We were very tired at the end but worth every bit. The views of Nevada Falls once you get onto the mist trail are breath taking. Quite a lot of traffic of the way up but much less after the top and turn onto Muir Trail. A must do if at Yosemite!

WATERFALLS and more WATERFALLS! The REDWOODS are magical and one of the most iconic hikes in the world. Steep, not for the faint of heart and If weather conditions allow it, hike HALF DOME! The cables are extreme but well worth the battle. Bring water and snacks.

I’m not an avid hiker and was in decent shape going into this hike last September. Yosemite is unlike any other place on earth and from the summit of Half Dome you get a 360 view from the top which is unbeatable. That being said- the hike up to the base of the cables is STRENUOUS. No one warned us of this. Soooo many switchbacks and inclines basically the entire way up which was pretty exhausting. You get to see the most beautiful falls, valleys and towering mountainsides though! The cable portion is incredibly intimidating for anyone with fear of heights. Don’t do this portion without textured gloves and shoes with GRIP on them. I’m getting sweaty palms even reminiscing!!!!! It’s such an exhilarating experience and worth it so don’t give up. Also bring a knee brace if you have bad knees because the climb down HURTS. ;)

Great Hike, nice views, and kid friendly. Not too hard, takes a couple of hours to complete.

The most amazing, life changing & memorable hike I’ve ever done. 100% worth it

One of the most iconic hikes in the world, highly recommend it. Check out the video and guide on HikingGuy com for detailed tips and directions.

Fantastic hike! Everything is spectacular on this hike. Brings lots of water and snacks to enjoy the views.

Beautiful trail to hike! The steps by Vernal Falls can be slippery. Bring a light jacket as you will get sprayed as you walk up the stairs next to Vernal Falls. Go all the way up to Nevada Falls! The incline is worth it. I enjoyed watching the waterfall from all views and especially from above. This hike has a crowd. It thins out once you pass Vernal Falls.

Did this trail August 2019. It was a beautiful trail and definitely showed off Yosemite’s beauty! Pretty busy trail though so don’t do it expecting to get away from the crowds. We did see a bear at the top of Nevada falls!

Very doable with toddlers during winter months and snow on the ground. We look forward to visiting again in the summer.

Busy, but fantastic!

The mist trail was closed the day we did it but we went anyway. It wasn’t easy to find the trail because of about 18 inches of snow the day before. Surreal views though. Breathtaking every step of the way. At the top of Nevada falls, John Muir trail was closed but we went down anyway. Rough going because we were trudging through knee high snow for the first half mile. Eventually we got cover in the trees and made it easier. Once we reconnected at Clark’s point, a nice easy trip down. We jogged because it was a little chilly. Really a phenomenal trail even with the circumstances. But I wouldn’t advise someone to do the same.

One of the most beautiful trails I’ve ever hiked. Unfortunately due to conditions, the route down was closed so we had to go back the way we came.. which was difficult given how icy/muddy/snowy it was. Definitely worth it. Will be coming back for this trail soon!
