Pretty decent walking trail. Mostly flat. You can follow the widest path all the way and stay left the whole time to get to the top of the little hill. Bring water cause it's warm if you go in the middle of the day.

Nice hike but lots of trails that criss cross back and forth, making it difficult to follow the exact route.

Parking was easy ...not crowded. Dog loved it even got a glimpse of some turkey vultures

Very pleasant walk through meadow with spectacular views, multiple trails can be used to create loops of varying length and difficulty.

Lots of interesting history and there is a handout at the trailhead behind the Middle School that showcases a few of the historical sites. Super dry when we went but still enjoyable. Very easy hike, great for kiddos and furry friends!

Easy family area to hike.

We like to get out here and hike when it's cooler. Grab a few caches and let Reba run.

This was a wonderful little hiking trail. Going up the little mountain/hill was okay, but coming down was a bit strenuous...could've been from the previous rains though. The rest of the trail was smooth sailing -- that vast meadow was beautiful!

If this place had a little bathroom/port-a-potty (or more private places to pop a squat) I'd give it 5 stars.

Great trail to bring your dog to!

More of a casual walk versus hiking.

Great trail, very easy. Most trails are dry with erosion from all the rain. The really bad wet spots are marked off. You can gain access from South Grade or Joan MacQueen middle school. Lots of different little trails to take.

This is a great hike to take kids on along with the family pet as an introduction to the outdoors. It is mostly flat and open, but it has a nice mesa along the north eastern side on the Engelmann loop trail. Speaking of the Engelmann oak, it is a prefect hike to see these blue-green leafed beauties. There is a good stand of these some what rare trees which are also called the Pasadena Oak, Quercus engelmannii is their binomial name and they are native only to the San Diego area.
