Hours: 7:00am - dusk

Perfect for a quick evening hike. We left at 4:30pm and was back in our car by 5:30. This included stopping for pictures.

The Santa Rosa Trail (5.9 miles) is somewhat miss marked, as the map outlined in red takes you thru the wildwood housing track. The SR Trail actually goes over the ridge into SRV, and follows the backside at the base of the mountain following the backside of ranch homes. There is a very short section of paved road that connects to the dirt trail which leads up to and around Lizard Rock (Wild Wood) then back to your starting point - Parking Lot on Los Arboles.

Many different trails to go on in this park & you’re bound to love them all. Lots of vegetation and some wildlife. Direct sun so bring hats and water.

Love this hike, it’s really fun for families with little kids bc it’s not too long and waters are fun to splash and swim in. Usually it’s got a nice crowd but plenty of space to spread out. Direct sunlight for most of the hike so bring water and a hat. Go during spring for the wildflowers.

Went on it today was pretty easy but had a great time and saw such wonderful views

beautiful. easy hike

Nice trail with views on both sides of the ridge. The trail starts off flat, then relatively gentle climb via a few switchbacks to top of the ridge. Then trail levels out to gentle rollers for remainder of ridge hiking until short descent back down to street. Not too much time on the street before finding creekside neighborhood trail (very little water) to finish. Parts of trail are a bit rocky so watch your footing. And trail is exposed so take plenty of water, hat, sunscreen. Not recommended during warm weather.

Quiet and beautiful. Surrounded by nature

Love this hike. Can be super packed on the weekends so come during the week during the middle of the day. Beautiful little oasis at the bottom of the falls. Don't walk across the reeds and cattails just let nature be and respect it from a distance :)

Nice hike. We got there around 0915 and parking was tight, this was a fall morning. Trail is exposed, so bring a hat and make sure to wear sunscreen. Did the Paradise Falls trail with an added leg bypassing the water treatment plant down the valley. Neat to see a water fall in the LA area this time of year, and the hike along the creek was also pleasant. Lots of families, which is always nice to see. Also passed a couple mountain bikers. Plenty of options to extend your hike, and some great views throughout the hike.

plenty of things to do on the bike. has it all

This trail is ok, but not worth going out of your way for. Very dry and dusty. A few good views but throughout a lot of the trail you can still see neighborhoods. I went around sunset and ran into a large rattlesnake right near the trail! The waterfall was little and serene but very busy with other people. Probably a trail best for families.

The trail was easy to follow. Plenty of directions for how to get to the falls. If you are a local and interested in taking up hiking as a hobby or are just interested in trying it, this would be a great start! It’s an easy hike. My suggestion is to do this early morning - happy hiking!

Easy trail. Moderate downhill/uphill. the path has no shade but the waterfall has multiple trees.

Love this trail I do this one often.

Beautiful views, lots of wildlife. Definitely not an easy hike, there are several steep inclines.

Trail is [CLOSED] until September 15th (2018)
We hiked a nearby trail which was just as fulfilling.

The falls are gorgeous! The teepee was an unexpected surprise. Great easy/moderate hike.

Lovely. If you go early most of the trail doesn’t get direct sunlight. Towards the end though the parking lot feels like 1000 miles away even though it says
.52 miles. Lots of rabbits and lizards! We even saw raccoon tracks.

Nice, light hike. Great for after work and for sunsets. Highly trafficked, so ideal for groups.

one of my favorite hikes here in socal

Great hike! Not long, bring the kids!

Perfect hike for introducing your kids to the wilderness been taking my daughter there since she was of walking age . Good times

Calm and beautiful on a Sunday evening!

Fairly easy hike through beautiful terrain. Our dog loved it :)

Awesome views and easy to navigate. Not much shade along trails until you hit the teepee and the waterfall. Arrived around 11 AM on a Monday and did not run into very many people. Bring water and sunscreen! And be sure to pick up after your four legged friends.

Not much shade until you hit the waterfall but overall, it’s a fun hike!

Great trail! Relaxing waterfall and scenery. They hike back up was a bit challenging. :) Bring water and a hat. Very limited shade.
