Beautiful views, dog friendly, some bikers along certain parts of the loop and cows scattered. Took us about 3 hours with a couple of water breaks since it’s somewhat hilly. Very dry and brown now.

Good hike, went counter clockwise. Trail very dry with lots of ruts from 4-wheelers and cattle. Trail is wide in most parts. Some steep spots. Mostly in the sun but wind kept us cool. Only recorded last mile or so

New hike for me and I loved it. great views and open spaces+

Great hike! super hilly, deff level hard. really good to get your heart pumping!

Went counterclockwise from Clark Rd in El Sobrante. Finally did the whole loop. Not many people on the trail, saw one snake soaking up sun on the ridge. Passed cattle and horses along the trail. Good mix of sun and shade. Nice stream for dog to cool off in.

An absolutely beautiful ride. Had an amazing time exploring this trail with my gravel bike.

love the inclines and birds. wasn't a fan of hiking on the road but it was good overall

It was a decent trail, saw herds of cattle who invaded the trail. after the initial ascend it was flat for the most part. open spaces and breeze made this a nice little get away from the city. nice views of the bay and bridges throughout the hike. pockets of mud. this is an easy route.

Get ready to climb some hills right away. Beautiful views through mostly grassy hillsides with significant elevation gains and drops, you’ll be forced to slow down on the downhills as they do get quite steep. Even in June i saw wildflowers.

Amazing hike! Great views and cows!

Beautiful meadowy trail. Saw a rattle snake and when the fog rolled in, wind picked up enough to blow off my hat (so hold on to your hats!). We took a left at the first split off and took the uphills in the beginning of the hike. Decent climb in some parts but not terrible- views definitely make up for it. Well maintained gravel trail throughout the meadow with paved roads in some parts.

Beautiful trail with nice views of the city on a clear day. Wildflowers, rolling hills, and grazing pastures. As of 5/25/19 there was a sign that said ‘trail closed’ since part of the trail was washed out from the winter storm, but retains 1.5ft of trail so you can definitely complete the loop.

We took a little detour by walking up the unmarked trailhead at the front of the parking lot as opposed to walking to the very end. Added about .5 mile or so. Lots of hills, great views, San Pablo ridge was killer!! Little to no shade - bring sun screen...I GOT SUNBURNED!

nice trail for a moderate challenge. nice views. the wildcat Creek trail was closed after canlon, so I took canlon instead. I'll update/re-review if I do it once the trail is opened again.

the trail was great. a little buggy near the creek. lots of flowers and everything is really green and beautiful right now. 4/27/19

Still has some muddy bits and well trampled by cows, two and four wheeled vehicles. To say “wildflowers” would be an exaggeration since the cattle have grazed this area pretty heavily—there are flowers but they’re mostly blackberries, chamomile. vetch, thistles etc.

Trail dead ends into private property’s

Beware! The loop shown dead ends into private property which required us to backtrack and added almost 2 miles to the route if you go counterclockwise

Did a revision on the loop because part of the wildcat creek trail was closed. Great trail run!
