my family and I really enjoyed this hike. Beautiful day today. Saw a coyote. Would have given 5 stars but a small part of trail was inaccessible due to fallen trees and washed out trail due to recent storms

Beautiful! Awesome trail!

But a reminder please follow Trail rules and keep your dogs on a leash. Not everyone else's dogs like to be run up on by other dogs while leashes. no matter how friendly YOUR pooch may be. We had a guy with two dogs who was at least a half mile behind his dogs and he had no control over them whatsoever.

it was a fun little hike for the kids. they had fun playing in the water.

This is accessible all year. Bike, hike, walk in spring, summer, or fall. Snowshoe or cross country ski in winter. Lots of bird life; coyote and bear sightings as well. This trail in Washoe Meadows State Park is treasure right in our backyards and it is threatened by a golf course expansion project.

This hike is a secret little treasure during late fall or spring when all other trails are hard to explore. This trail is in a state park that happens to be free! Yes , that's right a free state park. A nice meadow with the upper truckee river meandering through it. Bears tend to leasurly stroll through this area. Great place for dogs to run.
