Beautiful hiking place

This is my go-to trail to hike. It's beautiful at any time of the season. Come early (6:30-7:30 am) to find parking along the road and you won't have to pay 20 bucks for the state reserve parking. It is a taxing hike as you walk up the concrete path right to the top. Once you reach there, just follow the signs to get to the beach and hike along. Beautiful views of the Pacific as you walk down. Beware of high tide as it may limit your hike along the beach (unless you want your boots wet, it is not worth the smell that stays for months!). There are lots of different paths you can take, but this trail is my personal favorite. I rate the trail from the top down to the beach as easy. The hike up is moderately tedious. Lots of sunscreen, water and a hat is required if you go later in the day.

Easy walk with beautiful views.

Loved this easy beautiful trail

Awesome hike, great workout. The views are amazing, and the rocks are awesome! I especially loved all of the cacti and other plants!

Beautiful, lots of amazing and wonderful views!

Take this loop to access all other trails at Torre Pines. If you are fortunate to park in front of the beach before you get to the parking lot it is free. Once you enter Torre Pines you pay $25 entrance fee. This allows you to drive up the hill to the visitor center. We have a 12, 10, 8 and 4 year old and were able to hike up. It’s a compact sand trail with some bumps. Parts are stroller friendly other parts have steps. Lots of families. No dogs. Beautiful scenery and great workout. Highly recommend. We did not take it down to the beach, instead walked up the hill, went on the Guy Fleming and North Point trail then went back down. We spent 3 hours hiking!

This was one of my first recorded trial. I started around 3 pm and parked my car along beach side which saved me 25$ for parking if I would have to park inside the Paid parking spots. Took me around 90 minutes to complete the trial.

Scenic views over the mountains was a treat to the eyes. Some parts of the path along the beach was a bit uneven as there were stones all over and no sand or plain area to walk however it was fun. Chase the water or run away form it . Enjoyed the trial.

Such a beautiful hike ❤️ a bit crowded but overall gorgeous

Easy peasy trail, but go early to get food parking so you don’t have to pay $25 for the lot. Beautiful views of the ocean and the hike is easy enough for young children as well. The hike ends at the beach!

Really cool spot!!! So many trails and so much to see! I highly suggest checking out!!

As with many other reviews, this hike offers AMAZING views and photo ops. Definitely gets crowded because its such a family friendly nature walk. I was very disapointed with the lack of respect I saw for the trails and signs. Although we only saw about 5 people out of the 100s there this morning, it's definitely important to remind one another that rule #1 is respect the trail. People die from not respecting the trail. I saw 2 gentlement ignore "unstable cliffs, please stay back" signs just for a photo op. I also saw a group of about 5 young adults climbing up a rock for a photo op (which everyone was doing) but there was a clear path to climb up and signage to not trespass the way they chose to climb. We told them not to do it but we all need to be respectful so that these trails will last for future generations also.

If possible, find parking near by! Its $25 per car to use their lot!

This can get very crowded. It’s fairly steep and has an incredible view of the ocean. One of the best hikes I’ve ever been on. And then you get to walk the beach and maybe have a swim if you feel like it.

Nice trail with beautiful ocean views, but nothing to differentiate it from others in the park.

love the views

saw squirrels having sex

Beautiful scenery through out the trail and ending with a beach walk back to the starting spot is a great cool down.

The views are amazing but this is a very busy trail. Going down it definitely seems easy and the trail does go all the way down to the ocean with beautiful views all the way. I definitely didn’t realize how steep it was until I was in the way back up. The smooth sandy trail is too set and carved out for my taste but I assumed it was for safety and preservation I would definitely hike here again.

Very nice on a beautiful day..

Saw a lot of amazing plants.

We did this around 8am it was perfect timing. The fog came in later so we had some great views. It’s started to get crowded around 930am.

This trail has a beautiful lookout but there are a lot of steps.

Got there quite early (730am) and it was very foggy on the hike up but the temps were so mild it was perfect. The include was gradual but you get a good cardio workout.

Definitely epic views.

Best part - briskly walking the beach hoping to not get my shoes wet... which didn’t happen

Beautiful! This is ranked as easy but if it’s high tide and you can’t cut across the beach, you’ll have to go back the way you came; if you’re new to hiking, the gradual inclines will get you a bit out of breath. But still an easy, breezy hike.

Great hike any time of the year!

Great trail to bring out of state guests and friends.

Nice trail. Beautiful views!
