love it . So much to see very peaceful!

it's Jan when I hiked it. it was the most peace I've had since coming to southern California. the scenery was dry and brown though, no beautiful flowers, but there wasn't a soul on the trail, just my hubby, myself, and our two amazing pups that actually got to be off leash. I imagine it will get busier in the spring when the blooms come though. I would love to hike it again at that time, during the week, mid day, to see if I could enjoy the flowers without the crowds. Saw some deer up in the mountains and realized we were in mountain lion territory as well. so, be prepared I guess. don't hike alone!

This was Such a beautiful hike during the super bloom. There were just so many awful people there stomping on all the flowers and mistreating
The area.

Beautiful flowers this year but very crowded and hot!

Nice trail, but not great for hot weather as there is zero shade. First incline is steep, but once you reach elevation it levels off and is a lovely hike. great views of the Saddleback range. Bring a hat and water, look out for rattlesnakes. Note: if youre wondering, poppies and most showy wild flowers are done for the season. Lots of mustard and lupin still though.

Dusty and busy with people. Getting a chance to see the poppies in bloom was the only real highlight. The trail is quite boring. You'll see a lot of people not wearing the proper footwear attempting this. I'm not sure if this could be considered moderate, it felt pretty easy. Came here twice, once during the bloom in early March and again on Easter.

This trail is okay you have some nice views of the surrounding mountains that's basically all you will get to see on this trail.
I miss out on the spring flower blooms instead i got annoying flying insects, but that's nature you cannot do nothing about it.

April 15, 2017 - Drove an hour to get here today only to find out they closed the trail last night. The ranger at the trailhead said there have been too many people going off the trail. A biologist did an assessment last night and said the park needs to be closed indefinitely. And apparently there aren't anymore flowers according to the ranger anyway.

Came here for the flowers - lots of golden poppies! Flat wide dirt road with a gradual incline. Easy. Very exposed so bring a hat. Doable in sneakers and no poles. Lots of people taking pictures at the beginning but the crowd thins out about 30 minutes into it.

Hiked this trail early morning. Beautiful wildflowers and nice views. I found the hike to be easy, it's basically a dirt road. You can stray off path and climb a random mountain to make it more difficult. I will definitely be hiking here often during the summer.
