Nice hike along a little creek that was flowing with the recent rain. Some shady spots under oak trees. Definitely some homeless camps so be vigilant. Trail is kept up nicely.

Nice trail where we brought our puppy, there could have some more exciting things to look at along the way but overall a good hike. Nice steep hills to get the legs burning too.

Easy quite trail. Only negative is people don’t pick up after there dogs it’s was everywhere. But other than that it was a refreshing and relaxing environment. Saw a coyote getting water which cut my walk short as I turned around lol.

Fantastic trail, very tunable with varied traits such as steady inclines and declines, to extremely Steep terrain. If I lived in the area, I would be training here daily.

I’d recommend this trail for a starter. Be careful with the golf balls that’s come flying over from the golf course alongside the trail.

nice trail. staying off of the powerline trail saves a ton of hill.

Tecolote Canyon can be accessed from the top and the bottom, and a few places along the way from local neighborhoods that have trail access. It’s both hiking and mountain biking, and better maintained at the bottom of the trail. There’s a creek that runs through it, not a river, and it often floods, so stay away During any kind of flash flood or rainy days. The riding is mostly intermediate level, with some rocks and sand that make it slightly technical. There are some steep offshoots that can be fun to climb and explore.

Great trail. Flat to start out with, but then some big hills. Just beginning hiking so I had to take a couple breaks, but definitely manageable.

Started out as my least favorite hike. Ended up as my most favorite.

The trail was good. Not much shade so bring plenty of water. Ton of lizards saw no snakes but the trail is narrow enough to keep you alert.

Trail runs through a gulch or ravine (in SoCal every little gully is a "canyon") alongside washes and through tree (oak) groves. About one-third shaded. Stagnant water and sewage access points yield a foul stench in several places. Be careful with small dogs, as coyotes abound (as in all SoCal "canyons").

loved the trail and area. recommend staying in the main wide trail. don't recommend the little side trails. ran into snakes

this was a great little trail with both easier and more challenging options. You can make your workout to how you want it that day. The trail does begin as a rather flat, more leisurely run. Right around 2 miles, you start to hit the hills heading up to the power lines and there continue to be plenty of turn offs and ways to challenge yourself with even more hills. While this section of the trail is moderately challenging, all of it still runnable. Find your way out of the hills, head west toward the golf course and you'll find yourself on a really nice little section of single track, that will then lead to a really nice forested area with some creek crossings. I found this to be a great hike/run, that wasnt very stressful, and very enjoyable.
