I saw lots of wild life along the trail: deers , ducks , lizzards , toads, Tarantulas spiders.
The taril is mostly for bikers , so you need to pay attention as they come.
You have to pay 10$ for the parking at the trailhead , there's a box with evnelopes for that purpose at the trailhead.
Beyond the great views of the water along the trail , there isnt much to see.

The trail goes on, beyond the point I stopped. I went back after 3 miles, because I started late and it was getting dark

Enjoyed this trail. Looking forward to going back in Spring when everything is in bloom and hopefully the water in the creeks are flowing. A lot of mountain bikers with a pretty narrow trail so just be cautious! :)

Nice moderate trail. Pros: Creek, frogs, lake access/views, dragonflies, clean toilets w/ paper, not crowded, shaded a good portion of the way. Cons: Lots of poison oak (just watch for it and you will be ok) and parking fee of $10 (but considering the clean restrooms, worth it). You will reach Salmon Falls Road at the turnaround point and there are a few free parking spaces there. Since this is an out and back, starting at either end works.

Great trail for the kiddos to go with. Very clean and well taken care of.

There is a $10 fee to park your car here. Its a nice trail and theres a great spot to swim. The water seems cleaner and calmer here. I did see a ton of poison oak along the trail and we ran across lots of bikers.

great hike, shaded lots of up and diwn, a couple trickling creeks with black berrues, interesting variety if trees and butterflies. one note if you plan a sunrise hike, like we did, the parking lot doesn't open til 7 am, but we parked along the road and walked in just before 6 am. Lake is lovely, going to come back to kayak.

Beautiful trail with lots of wildflowers, butterflies and gorgeous views of the lake. However, the poison oak was everywhere and there are several downed trees blocking the trail.

This is NOT safe for dogs or kids. The trail is no more than 1 1/2 ft wide. Shear cliff on one side and very little shade. I'm sure the view was nice but my attention was on my dogs. Sometimes slippery. And it runs about 5* hotter than outside temp. Very hot.
