Only negative is that i had to walk through Garrott farm

Great trail for running. As some people wrote, there is a blockage around vista trail, but we easily found a little detour. Great views of the valley, some shade along the way, especially at the beginning.

Good climbs, rather easy terrains and fun downhills. Part of it, on the roadside, was a bit outside of my comfort zone with winding roads and no shoulder but there wasn't too much traffic.

Great hike, especially around the lake area

Did one side of shaded hiking. It was excellent with kids. There are many little bridges, fallen trees and flowers which is exciting for the kids. We also saw deer and many birds. Dam and reservoir made this hike more fun.

Nice trail. I recommend go to the left and come out to right side since right side is more shaded. left side is open and almost no shade but if u go in the morning it’s cool enough.

I started counter clockwise and went up to the lake, nice views. Took my dog, plenty of sun/shade, we were even able to find a few spots to relax near the water.

The trail around the lake was nice, however long stretch of completely exposed dirt trail and near power lines. We went clock wise , perhaps counter clockwise is better.

Decent quick trail but was instantly put off by this constant noise which appeared to come from across the reservoir. It seemed to come from a shooting range.

Nice way to spend a few hours. The trail junctions are a bit confusing and I encountered a few hikers unsure of where they were or how to proceed. The Lookout Trail section is a bit overgrown and more narrow than other sections, so watch your footing. There isn't good visibility in some areas of this section due to switchbacks, making it hard to watch for snakes or cats. The lookout point is great, but was swarming in bugs and therefore not a pleasant place to rest. Vista Loop, Fern, and Coyote Ridge are wide and gradual — I'd recommend coming down this way, as the view is great but the trail a bit more dull. The overall loop is shaded on the reservoir side (which also has the soundtrack of the nearby gun range) and exposed on the ridge. I'd agree with other reviewers that this loop felt longer than 5.9mi, but I did not track and therefore cannot confirm! Have your credit card ready for the $6 machine fee.

We hiked this trail only because we couldn't locate the one we wanted, and probably won't ever again. It's classified as easy, but almost the entire first mile or so, is up a steep grade. It also spits you out quite a ways down the road from your starting point, which isn't the safest to walk along due to the lack of shoulder.

Much longer than stated, Strava has me down as doing 9.5 miles.

Was exposed for most of it, but great coverage on the last few miles. The way-markers were not wholly accurate with distances and many of the forks in the trails were not marked. Many sections were overgrown. However, it was still a great hike. I suggest it for mornings and early afternoon.

this was an exceptional trail w good elevation gain and a few rollers. it took longer than expected and ran a good chunk in the dark. the only caveat is there is a section of the trail designated as mtn lion country, fwiw.

Trai is very easy, though there’re a lot of fox tail which is easy to get stuck on dog. Overall it is a very relaxing trail with good lake view.

Couldn’t make it al the way through the loop. Went sbot 1/2 way and then double back due to the trail being damaged. But great hike and ice views.

this is definitely not easy, wouldn't say it moderate either. Steep at the beginning and once you reach the top it's all downhill. But since this is an in/ out trail it's very steep coming back.

wild dog at Tony Look Trail head

beware of unleashed dog!

beautiful loop! Did it counter- clockwise as recommended to have ascends in the shade and beautiful views across the lake in the 2nd half of the run. Ridge area is exposed and can be very hot. Loves that it has up and down but also even stretches where you can just run. Views across the bay are breathtaking. Will certainly be back!
