Explore the most popular forest trails in Santiago Oaks Regional Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

We couldn't actually find this trail. The guys up front were no help at all. Neither of them knew where the trail was. We eventually got a map from them. We started out on what we though was the Santiago Creek Trail but never actually found it. We ended up on Lone Pine Ridge Trail, which took us to a higher elevation and ended up being a "Moderate" instead of "easy" hike. It had some decent inclines. Very light traffic. Much of the park is still very charred. Very sad to see. I wish they had better signage.

Our little pup had a wonderful time, as did we !!

Solid park with diverse landscapes that allow you to choose your level of difficulty.

Good trail with lots of hill climbing. You are rewarded with some good views of the mountains and hills.

I enjoy everything about this hike

awesome hike. some.areas still.closed due to the fires but definitely recommended!

Great place, easy trials for the kids from 3yrs and up.

I can't really rate it, since it's closed due to the fires.

Great view of DTLA And Catalina on a clear day

I loved it. I love the challenges and the options that the trails had to offer and the abundance of wildlife I even got to see a bobcat

Been using this trail for conditioning. The earlier you arrive the better. Humidity and heat is rough. 2 shelters to escape from heat on Oaks trail. No shade on trails.

Theres like zero shade on this trail and in the heat it is terrible ! Very pretty just make sure to bring water ! Also 5$ on weekends 7$ weekday !

You have to pay to park. But it's a great place to hike. :)

I did not do the whole trail, barely half a mile as it was too hot for my dog so we went to the historic dam side and walked under the shady trees. I'll return to try again when the weather cools down. Great views the further up you get.

hidden gem. but I can get pretty hot in summer. watch out for the rattle snakes

Sweet and simple trail. Not much shade so bring water and sun protection!

Great trail, get there early 5:30am or 6am for great weather.

Brought my dog, it's was great for her.
The trial is a little confusing at the far back of the loop - you end up following an access road toward and then around the large electric tower. Overall really great views and nice uphill if you take the Mt. Goat trail.

child friendly hike.

This is a really great Trail. Mountain Goat Trail is a steep switch back so just take it slow and sure footed. There were quiet a few mountain bikers and horses on trail this time out and we saw a snake on trail. Just be mindful & keep an eye out. This is a great trail, and I'll be returning to complete the loop.

Side note you have to pay for parking here.
First time hiking here and there are a lot of different trails here. It was late in the day so I did a quick loop. I'll need to come back to do some exploring. The people at the gate will hand you a map of all the trails I suggest you bring that with you on the hike. Also this is a really family friendly hiking area too.

Good for seeing wildlife and the old historic dam. Mostly easy tho moderate but great local stuff for getting out in nature.

This is a little bit challenging for beginning hikers but the summit view of Orange County is impressive.

Quick and easy. Nice trails. Horses, bikers, hikers, runners, kids and dogs a plenty... Green and a ton of flowers everywhere. We'll be back.

Our first trail find using this app. We're new at this whole hiking thing so we were baby-stepping like Bob. We know we have to get better at reading trail maps cuz we were constantly confused as to which fork in the road we should take. Leaving breadcrumbs is not an option. Some nice flowers along the way. Dodging old hoof prints was our main concern. Lots of mountain bikers. Never too steep. Nice water area which was a good photo op. So far, so good...
