For being so close to town, this is a great day hike area. I adored the scene of California poppies sprinkled throughout the rock outcroppings that were painted orange with lichen. There is a nice view of San Jose atop the ridge line. The ridge gets windy, bring a shell or light jacket.

It was a very good experience, with two kids a 2yer old and a 3yer old, it was a nice View from the top and the trail itself it’s clean and well-maintained

This is my first time hiking around Morgan Hill and this is totally worth it! We hiked right after the rain so everything was so green. We got to see wild animals along the ways. Please note the best time to go is spring or Fall.

Easy hike, gradually climb up with California Poppy flowers on both sides of the trail. Many other wild flowers and butterflies, mostly expose with decent cool breezes.

amazing views, peaceful hike

A lot of variation

Beautiful view- I try to go during times when there’s less people. I’ve had the top to myself many times and love the adventure up!

Great trail.

Great workout

I can't believe this isn't reviewed more. Perhaps it's because I'm not from around here, but the hilly views really surprised me with how attractive they were. You also get near-immediate payoff here with great views of the city on your way up.

Swaths of this one are probably best as bike trails, but I wasn't bored at all on a solo hike through the drearier paths. This is also a good "build-a-hike" area; I tacked on the loop to the southeast by accident and liked the change of scenery.

Challenging, serene, not too busy.

Great trail for late morning walks. Beautiful scenary. Nice altitude. Just the right kind of short family friendly hike. Kids loved it.

A great workout at some point but wish less cows' poop!. We did it in 2 hours 35 minutes!

Good exercise. Enjoy nice view from the hill and see lots of wildlife such as deer, coyote and etc. There is almost no shade. Recommend enjoy by the noon in hot weather.

This is not moderate at all is it EASY...great to just get in a walk of 7 plus miles

Great hike but you must watch the bike riders as they zoom by unannounced.

Very open not much shade.

Beautiful trail- but take your allergy meds!

A nice trail considering your location with respect to the suburbs. Other than that the trail is great. First part of the hike takes you straight up to the top. It's good cardio especially if you run it or keep a decent pace. I saw plenty of wild flowers towards the last mile and a half of the hike if you take the trail clockwise. Also, be wary of rattlesnakes. A guy trail running in front of me ran right past one and didn't seem to notice!

Good, easy hike. There was a very narrow trail section with long grass/vegetation on each side. Trailhead was near the golf course so you can always hit balls on the range after!

Beautiful view and lots of options to extend hike. Park with clean restrooms is an added perk.

Beautiful hike with great views of the rolling hills. Best time to go is in the spring when everything is green and the wild flowers are blooming. There are a few creeks that are flowing well right now with all the rain!

great hike. good views and nice elevation variations

Good hike, some steep trails, so be prepared because there isn't anything to grab onto to pull you along. A walking stick would be helpful for beginners. Some pretty scenery and lots of green. A bit too close to civilization for my taste. It can get loud from the road, but all in all, a fun hike for my companion dog and self.

Absolutely love this trail! I try to go on it every Saturday morning before work since you can create your own trail (there are several different trails in the park). Definitely quite a bit uphill at times, but the views are breathtaking. From some of the bends and peaks you can see the whole South Bay on a clear day.

I highly suggest going in the winter or spring since the hills are Shire-like green with wildflowers by February. You may not want to go right after a rain since the trail can be a bit muddy at times in some spots. There's not a lot of shade, so bring plenty of water, SPF, and a hat in the summer. Lots of deer are regularly seen in the area and the occasional bobcat.

Overall I highly recommend this to anybody in the South Bay who doesn't want to drive clear out to Santa Cruz or Pleasanton for a hilly hike. It's practically the Silicon Valley's backyard!

This is a great loop trail that goes from the Pueblo Group Area, to Coyote Peak, and back down the Rocky Ridge Trail. There are great views of both the Diablo and Santa Cruz Mtns, and of Silicon Valley, especially from the peak. The Rocky Ridge section of this loop is exposed to the sun, but luckily the day of our hike it was quite windy. A coyote was seen trotting along the trail ahead of us.
