Great hike but very little shade. Go early morning/late evenings to avoid the heat

Moderate amount of hikers and mountain bikers, saw some wildlife including a deer up close! The first part gets pretty steep, the way down was pretty easy. Great views. Not too much shade but it was consistently breezy and not too hot today.

One of my favorite places to visit :) Have been going for years! Love to watch the birds, cows grazing , sunsets or just take my camera out for a spin while relaxing away from the chaos of San Jose.

Great trail. Recommend using this app to navigate as trails are mostly (but not always) marked and easy to follow. Hiked up to Coyote Peak, which was well worth it. Lots of animals to see in the morning! Huge shout out to Tony H. for leaving his trekking poles for hikers to borrow. Helped me a lot! Definitely going to buy some for myself. I suggest using some if there are any in the loaner bin. Start early! Mostly uncovered. Wonderful vistas. 8 miles in 3.75 hours (including lengthy break at Coyote Peak)

Good hike but very little shade, so best hiked in spring or fall. Moderate uphill hike for first 3 miles and down the last mile. Could be reversed since it’s a loop. Saw a few lizard and pretty white butterfly’s but not much else. There are many more scenic hikes nearby.

I took my 4 year old on the Joice-Norred trail - approximately 2 miles long and mostly flat with great views. It is excellent for beginner hikers and kids.

Short little hike; nothing to write home about. Starts at the end of a golf course and finishes quickly. I prefer the other coyote trail

Early morning is the best time to hike. I’m not sure if foxes lives here but I saw a gray fox-like by the bushes or just a Siberian husky not on leash.

For being so close to town, this is a great day hike area. I adored the scene of California poppies sprinkled throughout the rock outcroppings that were painted orange with lichen. There is a nice view of San Jose atop the ridge line. The ridge gets windy, bring a shell or light jacket.

It was a very good experience, with two kids a 2yer old and a 3yer old, it was a nice View from the top and the trail itself it’s clean and well-maintained

This is my first time hiking around Morgan Hill and this is totally worth it! We hiked right after the rain so everything was so green. We got to see wild animals along the ways. Please note the best time to go is spring or Fall.

Easy hike, gradually climb up with California Poppy flowers on both sides of the trail. Many other wild flowers and butterflies, mostly expose with decent cool breezes.

amazing views, peaceful hike

Good workout rewarded by great views on southern San Jose. Except for some moments on Vista Loop and Bernal Hill Loop, the power poles always remind you that you are not far from civilization.

Wonderful little hike if you are looking to get your nature fix! The view of the hills are absolutely stunning this time of year due to the rainfall. The trail was pretty low trafficked, though it I did do this on a Monday morning. I would recommend bringing sunscreen and water since the first portion of the hike is under the sun and uphill!

The parking lot could probably fit 7-10 cars. At 9:00 am it was empty, but when I returned at 10 it had filled up.

A lot of variation

Beautiful view- I try to go during times when there’s less people. I’ve had the top to myself many times and love the adventure up!

Great trail.

Great workout

I can't believe this isn't reviewed more. Perhaps it's because I'm not from around here, but the hilly views really surprised me with how attractive they were. You also get near-immediate payoff here with great views of the city on your way up.

Swaths of this one are probably best as bike trails, but I wasn't bored at all on a solo hike through the drearier paths. This is also a good "build-a-hike" area; I tacked on the loop to the southeast by accident and liked the change of scenery.

Challenging, serene, not too busy.

Great trail for late morning walks. Beautiful scenary. Nice altitude. Just the right kind of short family friendly hike. Kids loved it.

A great workout at some point but wish less cows' poop!. We did it in 2 hours 35 minutes!
