I would rate this trail as moderate as there were some steep hills. Wouldn’t recommend for kids.

Nice trail with some good inclines to get the heart rate up. Fine for beginners and kids, in my opinion. This is a 3.5 for me too, but giving it 4 stars to balance out Lynda's 3.

Clear trails with city views close to homes. Very sunny. Would recommend cooler days. Saw turkeys on the trail. Good running trail. Rate 3.5

Good trail. bit of an incline but nothing too bad. Good trail for a nice jog too if you take care with all the rocks.

This trail is a bit steep the first half mile but once you start reaching some altitude it gets a bit better. There are not many trees and aside from the views of South San Jose it isn't all that pretty. The very short loop at the top through the woods is nice enough but for the most part, this trail is all about the exercise. Often you can see some wildlife and there are not many bugs. It's best to have shoes with good traction for the descent. The people on the trail are usually very friendly and if you time it right you can usually see a nice sunset.

Open trail mostly on smooth dirt inclines in the first third of the trail. Nice views from the top to San Francisco. Last third narrows and is rocky. Nearly no shade. Fairly easy grade.

This is definitely a moderate to hard trail. Short in distance but lots of elevation. Do not recommend for little kids. Bring water. Views of the valley are beautiful!

Great trail for views! If you go counterclockwise, expect more of a workout as you’ll be going up hill on rocky ridge trail. Take the time to stop at coyote peak!

I absolutely loved this one - might be best for a solo hike, if you're into that kind of thing, since there's such little tree cover that a small group might start to get discontent and bored after a while. Better for reflection. Maybe better suited for bikes, but the roaming hills here had a way of capturing my imagination. There's a part of the park where you walk amongst some cows, so there's that. This is a GREAT "build your own" trail with so many potential paths, so as long as you have the app, you can head out without any real plan, as long as you have sunscreen.
