Love all the trails here

beginner level

It was an alright hike. Physically, it had its challenging moments, but nothing not unmanageable.

Because of its location and the high foot traffic, it felt less like an adventure and more like an orchestrated attraction...a la Disneyland.

Though I have to say, there were some very nice vistas

park in the dirt lot off Fullerton Rd...its free. I love how challenging this loop is but be cautious. Someone's car got broken into in the lot and on the trail around a bend was a huge rattlesnake! I saw 3 deer on my last hike here. Use the alltrails app. I got lost the first 2 times.

Nice trail beautiful views

Went on a solo hike on a Sunday. it was difficult to find the trail, the directions on how to get there, from this app, are not accurate at all. I had to stop and Google it. Use this address: 2100 powder canyon trail. it will take to the trail head and the parking lot which is free and it was not busy or full at all. It is a dirt and gravel road and it is very uneven so if your car is low, you will hit some road underneath your car. The trail itself was fun. there are some spots that have plenty of shade but most of it was very open. there are alot of forks and different ways to go that take you to other trails. I stuck to the map and followed the app and GPS. it started to get kinda confusing towards the end but watch the GPS from the app and you'll be fine. plenty of inclines and it will challenge you!

Great hike next door to me! I dig it just not when it’s 80° or higher! Main reason I always bring my dog and this hike in heat is no way enjoyable to her! It’s great to and gets the blood pumping just bring a hat and some H20! Stay safe my friends!

$6 parking cash only. There is a wells fargo close by.

Had a difficult time finding the exact trail (apparently this trail is not one of their trails... It was "man-made"..... That's what I was told) so we ended up just going on a random trail that offered a variety of physical challenges. I still had fun! Not much shade. Bring lots if water and snacks. We saw lots of squirrels and bunnies!

Good trail! Some decent inclines in the 1st section, then we hit shade and a cool breeze for a long stretch before another hill towards the end. We went in June on an 80 degree day. Make sure you have water and watch for snakes.

its a great hike, though the trail got a little confusing towards the end. its a bit more than moderate, though mot too difficult. great inclines.

Really loved the view at the top!

I was expecting this hike to be more strenuous, but only the beginning of Schabarum Trail was challenging. Very exposed to the sun, I wouldn't attempt this on a hot and sunny day. Lots of mountain bikers on the trail, but it's wide enough to accommodate everyone. Hiking boots recommended, there are some slippery areas of dirt.

Beautiful trail. Not crowded. Harder than moderate if you are out of shape! Lots of side paths if you want to explore. Parking on street or there is a (free I’m pretty sure) lot further up.

Beautiful trail with some steep inclines you can hike a lot or adjust the distance as you are going because theres many paths interconnecting. We did the whole 6 miles with our 1yr old pup and it was a good workout.

The downfall:( my dog contracted a TICK for the first time!!!there are long grasses and plants and also passed a section where there were horses.....so if you take your dogs be careful. Spray some anti-flea/tick on ur pets before going to the park. Definitely check your pets specially if they have long hair.

Just in case: this was the most helpful in removing engorged ticks and it truly worked:

wear gloves and apply alcohol on ur dogs spot after removal and follow with antiseptic ointment.

Anyways, I would probably go back because it was a great trail with beautiful views, 2 parking areas, one by a park and other following a dirt road(all trails map took us past both parking spots and we had to go back so keep ur eyes open for a wood sign)and ease of access. Overall, recommend this trail. Happy Hiking:)

Easy to follow trail. I parked on Saleroso Dr to bypass the parking fee of the park. It was a nice cool day when I went and so I didn’t need to wear a sun hat. If you are doing this on a sunny day, wear a hat and sunscreen because it is exposed. I hiked this with my small dog and he enjoyed himself as well. There are horses on this trail, so naturally there’s horse poop along the trail. Overall, I will visit this trails again on my morning walks!

Nice moderate hike. Completed the hike in 2.5 hours with my small dog. It’s a great hike to do in the morning, it is exposed starting mid-day. Similarly to others here, I parked in the parking lot off of Fullerton Rd. It fits about 25 vehicles and there were about 5 spots when we arrived at 8:30am. There is also a port-a-potty in the parking lot, which is nice (disclaimer: someone took a giant dump outside of the toilet on a corner of the port-a-potty, ew.)

Looks like a part of the area is in the process of being restored. There was a water system that I think is there to help with the growth. I’m assuming that this area was affected by the fires last summer.

There are so many trails to choose from! I stuck with the path laid out by AllTrails however you can go on for longer than 6 miles if it strikes your fancy. I followed the trail by recording my hike in this app.

Overall, it was a nice way to spend my morning. I will definitely come back in the spring or fall.

c'mon nschedule mm

Epic time! Beautiful wildlife and plants. Great for picnics...truly a fun time!

I’ve lived in La Habra all my life. This hike is mellow and a great conversation hike or even an opportunity to get away solo. Drive slow on entry, some potholes are treacherous for smaller cars. Otherwise you’re good to go.

Excellent set of trails. I spent about 2 hours hiking the various trails, and could have easily spent longer.

good hiking trail for all level.

Was a beautiful day and a good hike, saw a hawk, road runner, coyote and a squirrel.

I liked the trail. Surprised to see lots of trees coz some photos or comments said hardly any. Didn’t see many dog poop although some hikers have dogs. Saw horse poop here and there. I liked that there’s a bathroom at the tiny equestrian center. A real bathroom not a portable potty. Things I didn’t like are big potholes going up to the parking lot, very small parking lot, no trail maps, lack of post/signs in the trail and having to park on the side of the road coz the parking lot is so small.
