This is the hardest trail I've done. Steep uphill climb not to be underestimated. Don't over pack! Carry lots of water, a snack and not much more. Plan on it taking all day to get to the peak. We only made it 2 miles up before turning back. Can't wait to try this trail again and conquer Owens peak. There is parking at the trailhead but there is a larger boulder blocking half the road. We made it around it with our jeep but we were on the edge of a drop off. Next time we'll park below that and hike the extra 15 mins to the trailhead.

Tougher than expected, didn't make it all the way to the top, the sun was dropping pretty quick and we didn't want to hike out in the dark. Can't wait to go back and complete the whole hike.
