Old Sacramento State Historic Park is a cluster of noteworthy, early Gold Rush commercial structures. Historic buildings include the 1849 Eagle Theater; the 1853 B. F. Hastings Building, once home to the California Supreme Court; and the 1855 Big Four Building. Old Sacramentos historical significance comes from it being the western terminus of the Pony Express postal system, the first transcontinental railroad, and the transcontinental telegraph. Old Sacramento is a California Historical Landmark. The National Park Service named the entire original historic 1850s business district of Old Sacramento a National Historic Landmark in 1965. With over 50 historic buildings, Old Sacramento has more buildings of historic value in its 28 acres than any area of similar size in the West.

Nice easy stroll through the old part of town.

Just a walk around Old Town. Lots of candy shops

Not a trail. More like window shopping.

Just a fun and interesting walk through history and old buildings. An easy walk. Good for photos. We enjoyed it and have done this walk though Old Town many times.

Old Sac is great... Walked around here many times and ate at some very good restaurants. Even bought a few old produce labels...

This isn't a trail and shouldn't really be on AllTrails. However, Old Sacramento is great. I always walk through it but I don't consider it a trail or a hike.

Not a trail just a walk in. Old sac. It's ok but I could just walk around the block to see the same things.

The trail is not a hike but rather a walk. Old Sacramento has lots of eating establishments and stores. It offers views of the river and the Tower Bridge. There is a statue of a horseman with a plaque that tells a brief story of the Pony Express. It's a neat area.
