Nice, short hike. Little close to the highway but amazing views

Easy and fun!

Pretty challenging climb on a mountain bike but well worth it!

Trying to reach the summit here is like climbing the waterfall upstream. Took us 17 hours (round-trip) without reaching the summit.

This was an amazing trail, the views of Shasta were spectacular even through the smoke. Not being super fit and living at sea level made it a bit rough at times but very doable. We hung out at the creek and ate before heading back down and back at the trailhead we even got to free a bear that locked itself in the bathroom LOL! Keep that door shut!

Very dry, dusty hike on a wide, dirt road with limited views of Shasta or anything else. Not recommended. There’s much better hiking nearby.

Quick and enjoyable hike that circles around the Butte for nice views of Lake Shastina, the Shasta Valley, and all that surrounds from the top. I’ve only done this hike once, but would like to do it again. Unfortunately, first time I went there was what appeared to be a sketchy lived in van on the trail that spooked me into not wanting to go back. Nice hike for the off season, especially in winter when everything else is buried in snow!

I’ve done this trail several times after work with my dogs. I enjoy that it is less popular than others. Fantastic vista of the Shasta Valley when you get to the summit. You’ll be able to see Mt. Shasta, Whaleback, Sheep Rock, Herd Peak, Haystack Butte, and Eddy from the top. It does get hot and I’ve seen my fair share of snakes in the summer, so be careful where you step. Enjoyable and fairly short hike. Highly recommend doing this trail in the winter.

Quick and short hike down the switchbacks to the river. Beautiful waterfall and easy to cool off in the river pools.

when parking at the middle falls it's less than a 5 min walk to the gorgeous overlook view of the falls. The footpath to the left leads to upper falls, an easy 10-15 min walk. The path to the right is a switchback path leading down to the bottom of the middle falls, you can continue down that trail to the lower falls but we didn't go there this time.

Very much enjoyed the easy hike to get there. Very tranquil in the winter time with no one else on the trail, can’t wait to go back in the summer
