Train was awesome! Some areas were steep with a few shaded areas. Rock Rock City was a great starter point. We started a little later in the morning, never again in September! It was warm especially heading up the summit without shade.

OK this one kicked my butt I must admit. My daughter's and I were the only ones up the higher trail till we got to Mt Olympia. one other person. Hiked 2940 ft, lunch, pictures and rehydrated. Suggest at least 4 to 5 liters of drinks PP. Great views. Starts easy for the 1st mile then get ready to climb, very steep some areas, and mostly in the sun. We had to park 1/4 mjle away to avoid ticket, trailhead is permit parking only.

There is no longer parking in this neighborhood. There are signs up that it is permit parking only now. Not sure if this is Covid related or the neighborhood trying to restrict access. We parked on Bloching Drive and hiked in from there

Kicked my booty. Didn’t go all the way way down but stopped at the bridge and still had a 1000 feet elevation. Look out for ticks

If you are a beginner for hiking then this trail is extremely difficult. Make sure to carry plenty of WATER mainly in summer. The trail is up and down over couple of hills, so it seems you have reached destination after every hill but you realize there is a long way to go. Just to give an example after the trail it showed 185 floors climbed in my iPhone. The views are very beautiful and calm breeze is very relaxing over the top of hills. Recommend to go with company, have not seen any crowd. Be well prepared, would not be a random trail over the weekend.

Started a little too late around 9am so the last few hours were hot. Thought trail that kicked our butts in a good way. Bring lots of water. We went through 4 liters round trip per person. We were able to refill our packs at the water fountains at the summit though.

Not a lot of shade. Don’t forget to fill the water bottle at the top no matter how much you carry . On a hot day you end ip drinking a lot of water

3 hours to summit. 5 hours, 45 minutes out and back (including 30 minutes at the summit). Please Please do only clockwise, like many others have noted. Don't even know why AllTrails is suggesting counter-clockwise.

Fantastic trail with a great mix of shade and exposure. Half the trail was single track and half was on dirt access road. One part of the trail was broken with some exposed pipes we needed to jump across but it just added to the adventure.
