5/23/18 Lovely, secluded beach. Fishermen were out. I don’t recognize the cover photo from this area. The tide was low and it seems like it would be a great place to play soccer as the sand is very flat and hard packed. It was definitely not nearly as difficult as beach walks usually can be. My dog and I walked south all the way to Bennett Slough and out onto the fishing levee. Lots of birds, otters, and seals about. It was foggy but not very cold.

Sea otters, elephant seals and water birds of all kinds were splashing all around us and in some cases trying to hop in the kayak with us! What an amazing spot for a relaxing paddle amidst the wildlife. Check with the park office prior to your visit for tidal information. Trust me, you don't want to get caught on the wrong side of that.

Great day, I decided to do all three trails along with all the outlooks, blinds, and vista points. It ended up being ~6.5 miles. Cost for use permit $4.25.
