It is not a difficult hike per say but not exactly young child friendly. I would say 8+. Wear thicker more durable long pants because the bushes are very thorny and will rip them. Saw a couple jack rabbits but for the most part pretty untouched and quiet area with very few hikers. The way to the parking lot is a long stretch of unpaved narrow dirt road — beware your car has likelihood of being scratched as the side of the road is full of bushes. Overall, the fissures were pretty cool and it was a good way to spend the day when in the area.
