Beautiful scenery!

Fun little day hike. Not too long. Early hike in the morning and be at work in the evening. Cows sometimes lay in the trail. They’re indifferent to the hikers being there though.

perfect timing for this hike because of wild flowers

Wonderful and easy enough for our kids

Great running trail along the lake

Great gain and views

Steep climb at first but one you reach the top it is well worth it.

Perfect time of year to do this hike as the wild flowers are popping out everywhere.

This is one of my favorite hikes to date. It is challenging, but the view from the top is outstanding. I did get a little bit lost because the trail splits in a couple of areas, but I guess that is my fault for not looking at the map on here. Either way, if you follow the trails to try to get to the highest point you can see then you will find a peek. It is a rocky end portion of the trail and once you get to the top you have a nice 360° view of all of Lake Millerton, the river, and some table mountains.

This is a good, short hike that offer some challenge because it is mostly uphill. It was somewhat overgrown in areas, so I would wear pants or long socks if that sort of thing bothers you. The view is pretty great! I enjoyed it. Very green and pretty right now in April. For your next challenge try pin cushion Peak.

It starts off next to the road, which isn’t the most appealing. But don’t fret, after you get going for a little while it is a beautiful hike next to the lake, no cars just nature. There is minimal change in elevation which makes his great for all ages and all hiking ability levels. The trail is super easy to follow. Definitely recommend! Right now in April it is very green and there are tons of beautiful wildflowers.

A nicely maintained trail that has beautiful views. Starts out climbing but is worth it!

First time visiting, my husband thought he’d surprise me and take me on a nice walk surrounded by what i love...nature, first I was a bit disappointed only because it looked so flat but as we began to walk I end up loving it, such a relaxing, beautiful walk. We took our 2 boys, 3 and 6 years old we all enjoyed this trail.

Single track, easy running trail. Over looks the lake.

this is the one that made me realize how out of shape I am.

Easter Sunday, enjoying the beautiful weather and the view from the top of the trail.

Great hike, but a tough one, lots of steep inclines and rocky trails, but if you push through it, once you concur the last rocky climb, it’s a beautiful view of the lake!!!!

BEAUTIFUL with wildflowers in bloom along the whole trail today. Easy enough to do with a 2 1/2 year old walking and a 1yr old in a baby carrier. We went about 1.5 miles in, played by the lake, and then back for a picnic. LOVED it

Overall nice trail. Pretty well maintained, and enjoyable. Oak trees are starting to spring with life, next month should be even nicer!

Went a few weeks ago and the weather was perfect. Made me realize how out if shape I am tho.

Greak day hike. About 7.75 miles from the very beginning of the trail. Kicked my ass, but I’m still getting back into shape. First 3 miles is uphill with about an 800ft increase.

It took us about 2.5 hours not counting stops.

This is a long one! Got up at 7 got there 7:30 and didn’t get home till 5 or so. I took it to temperance. Really pretty great for spring or fall. Pack lots of water and snacks you’ll need it. Bikers do this trail a lot do be mindful of them. Over all great all day hike

Super fun little hike the incline is steep but it is definitely worth it! Wouldn’t go on a hot day only spring or fall

great hike, being a begginner it was challenging during the incline, but great workout. Be ready to sweat :)

The end of the trail is pretty tough. The way down is cake. Nice views.

Millerton Lake State Recreation describes this as a multi-use trail, i.e. hike, bike, horse. It does not list dogs. Check out no dogs signs in South Finegold where this trail begins.

This hike is a must! It's extremely steep towards the end and you're basically climbing up and over rocks to get to the top. So be prepared! Once you're at the top the view is amazing! Sunsets ups here are to die for!

Good hike, great view of Milliton Lake all corners..if you can go all the way to Big Ben!

Great hike! Trail is very well maintained, easy to figure out parking. Overall amazing views. And it is a great moderate workout!

Enjoying hike
