Great views, moderate hike

Great, challenging hike. Our dog loved it and was off leash for most of the trail. Hiked in August 2016 and it was expectedly foggy with lower visibility and windy on top of the crests. Make sure you pack layers

Did the full out and back; good and challenging. Some very steep inclines with loose rocks so wear the right shoes/boots. Watch out for poison oak along the trail. Would hike again.

I hiked this trail fairly slowly because I was taking photos (great hike for bird and wildlife watching - I saw rabbits, turkey vultures, lizards, two types of hummingbirds among many other birds, the list goes on) and only got to Tennessee cove by my turnaround point, but I highly recommend it! Very little shade from the sun if any, so wear sunscreen and bring shades.

Did this hike yesterday (a Sat) wearing 36# pack for training. It's was a gorgeous crisp sunny day and the views were incredible. Exposed and open, a nice change from the wooded trails of Tam. Very challenging with the weighted pack. The only downside was it was a very busy trail, especially towards the Rodeo end.

I just wanted to add that despite what is listed here, dogs are NOT ALLOWED at Point Reyes National Seashore on any of the trails with minor exceptions. Exceptions include Bolinas Ridge Trail and North and South Point Reyes Beaches.

Awesome trail! They truly mean hard! Some very steep inclines!

Beautiful views. Check out the hill area before descending down to Rodeo beach. Old concrete structures with graffiti and great views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge and SF downtown.

Beautiful hike with our dog but it was difficult one! I would recommend this hike! Remember to wear layers as it can get pretty windy depending on which side of the mountain you're on.
