Did the hike on Feb 9th, started around 8am. Trail is in good condition, starts kind of flat then gets steeper, but it's never too rough. Met few people, and was told there was still snow on the top, and indeed there was a bit of frost/snow from the cold temperatures and snowfall earlier in the week. Interestingly enough the last stretch of the trail was still frozen. On the way down, took a wrong turn to the right and so added 1-2 miles, since it took me a while to realize it. Some steep parts on the way down (I did the loop counter-clockwise), also some bikers going really fast downhill so watch out. You need to walk a small stretch of road at the end to complete the loop, watch-out for traffic. Saw a newt a few hundred feet from the car (see pictures). Overall a very good hike. Views of the South Bay are really good.

Did half this hike as part of Los Gatos Creek Trail. Great afternoon hike.
