Nice trail for a walk or run. You get a fenced view of the lake. No dogs allowed so that sucks.

this is not a nature trail! there's a high wired fence with barbed wire at the top. not fun :(

Fun way trail with a lot of tree cover. Goes all the way around the lake. The north end of the trail has limited views of the lake, and the south end is more open. A great trail for a day off or just to get back into exercising.

not a fan

Very easy hike/walk is a loop and it takes 25 minutes to go in a good pace, u can take your bicycle if you like

Easy 3 mile walk. Paved roads. Good views of the Hollywood sign.

Probably the best way to see the Hollywood Sign is to just do this 3+ mile hike around the "lake". I highly recommend entering and leaving from the North Gate at the end of North Hollywood Drive where there is plenty of street parking. The AllTrails app led us to this entrance the day we went. Otherwise you'll have to deal with tourists and busses of people snapping pictures of the Hollywood Sign, if you use one of the other entrances that lead to Lake Hollywood Park. Although it's just an overgrown man made reservoir system, LA Power and Water keeps the place very tidy and clean. I had to deduct 2 stars for limited restrooms & the eyesore barbed wire fence along the path. There's not many places to stop, rest or eat. There's very few garbage receptacles. It's just a place to do that hike, see the sign and get out.

Nice easy walk.

This is more like a walk through DWP. If you can look past the barb wire chain link fence and concrete wall you will see trees and water. Eh.

I'm not a frequent hiker or one to walk. But I have to say this was an amazing experience. The walk was easy I believe we did the hole trail in little over and 1hr. We had our 17 month old son with his stroller and it easy to walk the trail because of the pavement that was a plus. Now the best part of it all is the views you get to see. We actually got to see a young buck up close and personal just eat and walking around. So if your a beginner or parents like us this is a great trail to start with.

This is a great local spot for a walk or run. One lap is the distance of a 5k. Easily double it to make it a 10k. It’s completely flat. About 3/4 of it are paved with a small section being dirt. Parking isn’t a problem at all - park on lake Hollywood blvd. It’s not sketchy at all, as some reviews have said. Nice view of the lake and Hollywood sign. I’d do it again.

Great trail for road biking with kids. Trail is basically a paved road, wide and flat. The trail has nice view of the lake and the Hollywood sign

It was more of a walk. Beautiful view!

WARNING ⚠ If you leave anything in your car it will get stolen. The trail itself is beautiful, but there are huge losers who hang around, and steal from people just looking to have a nice walk.

It is basically a long long walk. No hiking.

Okay, so for all you people who say that this place is ugly please do not write a review again. Lake Hollywood is a beautiful place and there are so many things to see including the deers that run along you and the other wildlife. In the middle of the trail you get to the “bridge” which is actually a dam you also have the option to leave the lake Hollywood trail and climb to the dog park I really recommend that hike because it is challenging and fun. Thank you,

Flat and mostly paved. A little bit of a dirt path section, but very safe as far as footing.

Nice walk. Mostly flat & paved. Very peaceful! Easy workout. Nice views from the dam. I saw a couple deer last time I was there ❤️

Super chill loop around Lake Hollywood. The fencing around the lake are not appealing but the views when you get to the bridge are nice. Cool to see the Hollywood sign with a lake in front of it. As easy as it gets so fun to take anyone along.

Very ugly view. All you are looking at for the most part is barb wire....not inspiring. If you want to walk on sand and stare at barb wire in direct heat, this trail is for you.

Definitely a walking trail that has many turns anf will make you want to sprint to see what’s at the end of the path. You can see the Hollywood sign, but unfortunately the trail doesn’t lead to it.

Basically a flat walk on a paved utility road. But - pretty mountain and lake scenery, nice vibe. Good walk for single females wanting to be safe, there are plenty of people around, including park rangers. There is an additional trail to the east that branches off near the southern end of the lake and goes up to Mulholland Drive if you want more of a workout.

Not too exciting, other than being close to the Hollywood sign.

This is good of you want to try out your bike ( your kids) or do. A run in a close but safe area :) and it’s off to other trials but this is a gated trails it’s still a nice hike they have restrooms half way /threw along with water (nice picture backgrounds on the bridge ;) of LA when leaving depends if you got out going upwards you go right under the Hollywood sign / good hiking area too (

this was more of a walk than a hike very flat and pretty much asphalt all the way around and the fence didn't help the view at all but we still had a good time

very well

I did this as a cool down from the Hollywood sign hike. Don't really like the fences that are up, but I get it. Also was just too flat for me. This hike is good for a nice easy walk. Saw a couple deer while I was here.
