The trail was easily accessed and not bad at all. There is a lot of poison oak on the way and a bit overgrown; wear pants just in case. I changed into shorts after hike and stood under waterfall, it was refreshing.

Beautiful, easy trail. But beware, this trail is lined with poison oak.

Highly recommend this hike. It's not very long and is fairly easy, with two creek crossings that are only difficult immediately after a rainstorm. In the past there was access to more waterfalls via a very steep trail at the end, but the landowners have fenced it off.

I was there in May, 1st and 2nd, didn’t expect the falls to still be there but they were, it’s easy, shady, wild Iris, forget me nots, lupine, poppies!!! Green!!!

This was entirely uphill and was not fun at all. We felt as if we could have fallen down the steep hills any second. Not kid friendly

Great trail for our Sunday adventure. Was a little rocky at times and you do have to cross a small “river” to start the trail. My young family did great on it. Definitely worth the end goal of the waterfall. We brought snacks and sat to enjoy the waterfall and played a little in the running creek bed. Shaded 80% of the time which was great!

This trail was definitely more than moderate. Very steep up hill and also very steep downhill. Would recommend taking the fire road all the way back down.

Such a beautiful time of the year to do this trail. Just a quick in and out to see lots of beautiful wild flowers. A waterfall at the end is a great reward for such a short easy hike. Got a few mosquito bites not really sure how they got through my jacket. Have fun.

Perfect time of year to hike this trail. Loved it ❤️

Definitely not stroller friendly but I did it with one anyways. you'll cross the creek two times but it's pretty shallow so not too hard. There's a really deep gully that's hard to get past but after that it's smooth sailing. Great hike!

beautiful short in-and-out trail with a waterfall at the turning point. Wear rainboots after a heavy rainfall. More rain = bigger waterfall.

Son and I had a great first hike on this short trail, late January. Saw a lot of salamanders (or is it newts? Whichever has the orange belly.) The waterfall was flowing. Trail was populated but not too crowded at all. Would highly recommend this for a nice hike with or without kids.

Definitely NOT moderate. This trail is HARD. Super steep incline and decline. The map also takes you on to private property, which probably explains why most of the track is not maintained. Only try this trail if you are looking for a serious hiking challenge. The upside was the terrific views at the top & cooling shade through most of it.

The first mile is really steep on most undeveloped and narrow trail. Watch your footing as leaves and loose dirt make trail slippery. Decided to take fire road back down to prevent falls.

Went in mid-June with my husband and small dog. Falls were just a trickle, but the hike up was pleasant with a slight incline. The path was fairly rocky the last quarter mile and a bit uneven for my husband who had to use a walking stick for stability. I wouldn't classify this as an "easy" hike as described, but definitely doable. No benches or picnic tables, but they do provide dog waste bags, and parts of the trail you can have your well behaved pup off leash. Oddly for a Saturday, there were hardly any people, which was nice... not loud. I would consider coming back possibly in fall or spring.

Short but nice trail

The waterfall was amazing and cooooold. I went with my dog and there were many friends for him to play with. The only downside was the amount of people, however that’s with all beautiful hiking trails. 10/10 I would recommend heading on down there when the waters running.

Lovely little valley! Easy walk and dog friendly. The falls is actually signed as Buck Gulch Falls.

Lots of greenery. Waterfall is best after rain. By 11 am lots of people on a Saturday.

Seriously steep incline to get up, and equally steep on the way back down. But gorgeous forest and incredible views when you get to the top!

This was an absolute oversight on my part, but I wouldn't recommend going during the summer as there is no water at the waterfall! Definitely would recommend this trail for an easy hike with a small pup. He loved it.

I'm sure this spot is great after it's been raining, but there was nothing special about this trail. It was all dry & no waterfall. I don't like hiking places unless theirs water so I was disappointed.

Beautiful walk. Mostly uphill on the way in, but not steep. It's dry right now so the waterfall is more of a trickle. Lots of mosquitoes. We stopped at the waterfall to take pics for about 5 min and I got bit 4 times. Will definitely go again.

Great family hike, especially when you have young kids!

Beautiful hike to an adorable waterfall! This is a short, but sweet hike with beautiful greenery and streams throughout the hike. Dog friendly and very well maintained.

Perfect hike for families. Our two year old can walk this hike almost entirely on her own. The waterfall and creek are fun. Best in the spring time. First part of the hike in has no tree cover and is unpleasantly hot if you go in the summer/early fall.

it was a great walk with the dogs and kids after all the rain

Gorgeous trail that follows a small stream. Lots of little lizards sunbathing on the rocks that scatter when you walk by. Moderate obstacles to cross the river in two places, but not terribly difficult. Very rewarding waterfall at the end in a cool and tree-covered space. Saw a few others on the trail, but never felt crowded. Would hike again!
