Very nice easy stroll beautiful

Great little loop. Try to hike this during the winter or spring when the creek has some good flow going. But if you find yourself down here during the fall head up to Albee campground and pick some apples growing in the south field. Many other trails to jump off on and hike around. This part of the park is a real treasure.

I'd definitely do again mostly for the river. we took our swimsuits and sandals and pottered down the river watching fish and skimming stones. Be careful of the algae, avoid areas with a lot in (particularly with children). Be aware there is very little shade on the banks so bring an umbrella or sun cream. wouldn't call this a hike but a nice walk.

Beautiful, peaceful, flat, family friendly trail. So glad we stopped here and saw these trees.

When you’re on the Avenue of the giants trailhead, make sure to walk straight to start the trail. You’ll see a big burned out root ball.

Beautiful trail. Much better than Founders/Machan duo. Used app GPS - about 2.6 miles total.

Beautiful trail. Lots of people recommended Mahan over this one, but there are pros and cons to both. Mahan is quieter, Founders has a great guide with accompanying plaques to learn about the amazing trees.

Beautiful, short trail.

Do this! Everyone sticks to main trail so if you get lucky you may have this trail to yourself. And boy will you be glad - there are some incredible giants and forest here and better yet, total tranquility.

Absolutely breathtaking but found it hard to fully appreciate with the crowds. Definitely go (because the grove is truly beautiful) but break away from the crowds for a while and take a less heavily trafficked path like Mahan’s Plaque Loop, which we loved even more.

Awesome views!!

Amazing trail. Beauty beyond your imagination. It's like a whole different world. You feel so small among the Giants...

Amazing trees, the trunks are HUGE!

Easy stroll through the redwoods with beautiful views. We did see a lot of poison oak off to the side of the trail so watch out for that.

Short hikes along Avenue of the Giants. Awesome trees, beware of poison oak!

One of the more frequented trails in the state park. Great bathrooms by the parking lot. The trail is handicap accessible. We took my mother-in-law around the loop in a transport wheelchair with no problems.

There are a number of side trips. We went to the Mahon Trail and then over the hill and under the freeway to the Women's Federation Grove and back.

Magical place: vivid colors, shiny red leaves on the ground, gigantic trees, ancient atmosphere.

What an amazing little trail. Lush green sorrel carpets the forest and only the trail is bare. Giant redwoods shoot to the sky, and some fallen lay about as part of the ground's landscape. You feel like you've been miniaturized. We skipped the Redwood national forest to come to the Humboldt area instead. The place is basically yours.

Nice quiet hike. Got lost did the loop twice, so our hike ended up being 4 miles.

Any hike among the Redwoods is one to be cherished. These trees truly take your breath away and leave you speaking in hushed voices, if you speak at all. It's great for all ages and abilities. Do not miss this opportunity among the giants

This beats Muir Woods any day! Next to know crowds and you don't have to take a long shuttle-ride to get there. The giant trees hush your footsteps and block out traffic sounds, making it a sanctuary of nature at its finest. There is no more peaceful place than among the giant redwoods.

Did this trail a couple of weeks ago. It was short but very amazing. It looked like a setting for a fairy tale. Loved it!
