Start from the Bay, and go South.
8 mile loop, very nice.
Pretty smooth except for crossing under the busy roads.

Terrible! Dirty with trash everywhere. Homeless camping everywhere with the associated mess and stench. In spots the trail flips from one side of the river to the other, necessitating crossing of busy streets. This trail should be used as a last resort only.

To sketchy!

More like a concrete jungle rather than a nature trail. Dirty and underpasses with remnants of homeless people. Not a fun trail at all. Surprised people rated it as high as they did. Disappointed.

Dirty trail with no water and lots of homeless encampments that make the user feel less than secure. Only pro is the trail utilizes a lot of underpasses that enables a continuous run with no stops for traffic.

Decent trail for commute to work. Rose garden is a nice detour if you feel so inclined. Monopoly in the park is interesting.

Love this trail . There are some spots that look disheveled from previous floods and debris is entangled in tree limbs , there are some homeless living along it in spots , I have never felt unsafe . Its a solid asphalted trail . Lovely to walk, run , and bike !

I found this trail by noticing a body of water while navigating the GPS, and I decided to give it a try that same day. I started my trip from the Denny's on Blossom Hill Rd towards the lake. I'll admit that at first it felt too isolated and abandoned, but as I reached the park the view started to change, and it then it was beautiful. It's a really easy walk, bjt peaceful and with beautiful views.

Alum Rock was closed due to hazardous conditions so we settled for Guadalupe River Walk just to get outdoors. We walked the trails to find out a section of it was also blocked due to construction. There was a lot of litter and trash along the way. Homeless people were camped out throughout the trail. There was some wildlife - squirrels, certain plants survived winter, etc., but most of the landscaping we saw was just overgrowth. With its proximity to the airport, planes screamed above us as they landed every 10 min or so. I wouldn't come back here unless I had no other option - which is the only reason we decided to try this place anyway.

It is one of my favorite for jogging and bilking. I think it is really good trail for training half marathon.

Nice easy hike.

It's a beautiful park, beautiful trees and flowers, the river is clean and it's very well maintained in general. I'm there often!!

Not bad, but not well marked - lots of simultaneous paths without clear markers if one is preferred for bikes or ped. Stroller accessible, all paved. Lots of benches and small tables.....can be followed all the way to the airport and likely beyond. Some construction as of Jan 2015, and lots of plane/car noise. (Can be a plus if you have a child who loves planes and cars)

Not bad if you're traveling, need a spot to run, and don't have a lot of time for a commute out of the city. This is definitely a cityscape trail but you can head further north towards the Airport for a bit more grass and trees.
