HikingGreat!

So many good views along this trail. There are tons of them around if front of Hollywood signs, and in the back you can see Griffith observatory, Downtown LA, 101 freeway, I5, Santa Monica, Airport, Glendale, Hollywood Blvd, Wilshire Blvd. I recommend this hike. There are steep shortcuts if you can do it.

Nice and open. Not many people. Takes about an hour. Loved it!

The trail was great. This was my first hiking experience with my husband and I found it challenging but fun. We went around 10:30am and it wasn't busy at all. Definitely will go again!

It was harder than expected but also this was my first hike in over a year really excited to come back would recommend shoes with grip I didn’t get to loop because some bits were too steep and loose dirt would have been an issue for slip

The trail was excellent. From Canyon drive, about 2 miles is fire road, and the last 1-1.5 to the summit is asphalt. The view is AMAZING so make sure to go up Mt. Lee to the back of the sign. Heavily trafficked, even for a Friday morning, so best to go on a weekday and early.

Gets crowded as do most Griffith trails. Mask wearers are 50/50. The zoo ruins are nothing to write home about. Empty concrete enclosures covered in graffiti is the extent of it. A surprising amount of wildlife. Saw 2 golden eagles and a kingsnake so, neat. Hike itself has a decent incline where you can see some nice views of the range and the city. Worth the trip though, especially if you go early.

Loved this trail, The path is dusty and there is a stable close by with folks horseback riding on the trail. There was sufficient parking for a weekday. Also, not many hikers and most wore masks or practiced social distancing. Either way, the trail is wide enough to distance. The view of the city wasn’t great because it was a bit cloudy but I could only imagine how beautiful it would be, with clear skies. The hike to the better view of the sign is 2.3 miles, a bit of an incline. Worth it!

Awesome hike. Great workout and lovely views. Before I went on this hike, I read some of the reviews here and a lot of people were complaining about the hike being too crowded and/or people without masks. I have to say, I experienced NONE of this. It wasn't crowded at all, and the handful of people I did see were all wearing masks. If you want to avoid crowds, you can pick a suitable time of day for your hike, instead of complaining. I went at noon, just for the record.

The views are amazing from start to finish!! Multiple trails and options once inside. Pay attention to the routes and enjoy the various inclines. I plan to go back to try the other trails.

Walked it three days straight in the mornings at 5am. Didn’t need water because it was cool. Only thing I don’t like about it is the observatory is the only location I can use the bathroom at.

AMAZING VIEWS!! I absolutely love this trail. There are so many little trails that go off the main one but eventually lead you back to the main one. There is no shade but I do recommend going past 4pm it early in the morning to avoid hot weather! We took small trials to explore more and see different views of LA and the Hollywood sign! I will be coming back!

Great but ends abruptly at one point, forces you to catch the path back the way you came. Still fun and definitely challenging

Great during Covid! You can do it in the loop or take the stairs up for a very vigurous climb. Once you reach the top garden, there are a lot of nooks and side trails to explore. Very lush and beautiful, a bit like a rainforest in the desert. We went friday evening and saw a total of 4 people while we wandered around for 1+ hour

Somewhat crowded on a Monday night. Instead of paying for parking I used the parking lot on Western Canyon road and walked up the paved road to West Trail
